B&M Bargains

I think most of you will know what to expect from B &M though I feel this one right in the centre of town does have it’s merits. Not a bad selection of householdy stuff ranging from kitchenware, bed linen, random furniture, outdoorsy stuff plus loads of smaller gift items.
I’m pretty sure of you walked in here you would find something that you’d like and be amazed at the price. Most notable when in one day having a nosey I found they had ‘euro’ plug adaptors for 79p, I’ve never seen them as cheap anywhere and bizarrely they are pretty solid build, if someone had said it cost £3 I’d have been happy enough.
Definitely a lot of tat but if you bear with it you will be surprised. The toys and pet section is especially good and if you fancy a packet of 29p Super Noodles this is the place to head.

Cons: A lot of the stock is pretty tacky.

Right in the centre o Belfast, I am not really sure what to make of this place, it sells everything, yet it is not a specialist in anything.
If I wanted a can of deodorant I would go to Boots, if I wanted some hardware I would go to B&Q and if I wanted a DVD I would go to HMV. So when would I go to B&M Bargains?
I suppose it is the type of place you go if you do not know what you want, sweets for 99p and a special offer on wicker baskets was about all I noticed when I went in. This is the perfect shop to go to if you do not know what to get someone for Christmas or a Birthday because you are bound to find something that they like without leaving yourself out of pocket.
B&M Bargains is always full to the brim so it must be doing something right. It is a in a good location and is worth a look round if you have some time to kill.

An uninspiring retailer, yet one that serves it’s purpose. And B&M’s purpose is provide cheap products for your home.
You’ll always find something in here that’ll come in useful. Whether that be kitchen utensils, household cleaning products, tat for your home.
It’s a great place to make savings on household cleaning products, which can be really expensive in most supermarkets. So if you have the time to pop in here, I’d really recommend it.
It’s also a great place for picking up boring but essential household items, like glasses, dishcloths, cutlery. In these recessionary times (sorry for using the most over used phrase in living memory) I can imagine lot;s of savvy shoppers flocking to B&M Bargains.

If you need items for your home, simple things, tangible things then always give this place a look before you go elsewhere and spend a fortune.
B&M Bargins, formly Au Naturale is the epi-​centre of all things low budget and cheap in the city centre. While pound shops focus on random naff tat and food products, this place has an array of household items you may find useful.
Take kitchen accessories. I managed to pick up a whisk, kitchen serving spoons, baking utensils and other items for a total of £8. Items in my opinion where quality doesn’t really come into play to a serious degree.
I also kitted myself out for a festival this summer. Led lamps, tent, chair etc… it’s marvellously cheap.
You’ll end up buying something you certainly do not need or that random thing you’ve been search for for donkeys.

Perhaps the full impact has not been witnessed by my fellow Unilocalers. I came in here looking for some cleaning products for our house to price them against Tescos, and although since my experience a B & M has opened at home, I knew I would never visit the brand new shop. Though the cleaning products were around the same price (which is impressive in that it is competing with huge supermarkets) most of this store still falls into the category of «junk». Most of it is just bits and pieces of things you don’t really need but you buy anyway because you think «ooh that would be useful». It’s a case of waiting until you get home and your stuff remains in the packet until you are moving out of the house and after some contemplation, the stuff goes in the bin, followed by a «why did I buy that?».
I recommend you call in here and give it the quick once-​over. You will find something of use to you (or something you think is of use to you) And at Christmas you might find a tree or some decorations which can brighten up your home and you don’t mind having alcohol sprayed over it. But truthfully most of this shop if disposable rubbish.

This is the most amazing place ever to do your Christmas shop in. Unlike other bargain shops, they actually sell proper kit that people can appreciate as a present-​like Dora the Explorer toys that cost 4 times more in Argos. For students on a budget, B&M is absolutely perfect during Christmas/​birthdays, especially if your house is chock-​a-​block with nieces and nephews hoping for the latest toys.

B&M Bargains isn’t anything special. It has nothing unique or quirky about it. But it is a useful shop. If you ever need well, anything remotely for the home then this place has it. It stocks prints, mirrors, kitchen ware, glass ware, pillows, cleaning products, kids toys and depending on the time of the year some sweet Halloween masks. In my drunk student days (ha! As if anything has changed!) used to frequent B&M to restock up on glasses we had managed to drop or just loose in the process of a night in. The prices are so stupidly cheap that we didn’t mind if we broke another glass, the contents of the glass was often more expensive! It’s a good shop for students who need to pick up some of the new essentials for a house or indeed just like us, replace them!
