Argento

Ah, I had such a laugh in this fantabulous shop today while I was waiting for my bus to arrive. Well, little beknownst to me, Argento were having a amazing sale on which offered many gifts for only £5, £10 or 25% off or 50% off etc, and all the items were offered at various reduced price offers. Now, I’ll make it clear that nest week is my birthday, and this fact alone makes it valid that I am allowed to buy myself not one but two gorgeous rings, which were both on sale for better than half price. I’m sorry but you can’t expect me to choose from the delightful two choices, when they are both so fantastic and it is my birthday the next week… So with only with a little bit of encouragement from my friend and from the helpful sales assistant (whose birthday it was as the same day as mine, Happy Birthday To You… and thanks for the encouragement!) well I left the shop as a very happy bunny with no one but two gorgeous purple rings to compliment every outfit, style and fashion. Ah, Argento, I love you!

One of the better ‘reasonably’ priced jewellery shops in Belfast. There’s a good selection of different styles in here ranging from classy and understated to blingin and crude. The prices obviously vary as well but the emphasis seems to be on affordable quality.
The shop now has two different sections… there’s a ‘clearance shop’ in what was the old main store and the new main bit is a sweet looking white shop right beside it. Obviously the smaller shop has all the sale/​bargain stuff and the main one now has latest ranges and the better selection.
The shop is clean and well laid out and the staff are very pleasant which coupled with the mix of jewellery makes (and takes the stress out of!) shopping here pretty pleasant.
Pros: Great staff and big selection.
Cons: Not much of a ‘blokes shop’.

For some reason I just haven’t found the stark white exterior of Argento particularly inviting but on the other hand, when I finally visited here I found it a lot more friendly and approachable than many jewellery shops. I was impressed by the variety of jewellery on offer — all sorts of fashion looks and personal styles are catered for in here varying from kind of refined ethnic to crystal smart. It’s definitely worth a look when buying a present or for an occasion when you’re pressed to accessorise a outfit you have already. The bright costume type jewellery, especially brooches, was among the best I though, that’s very much a personal thing of course, but I can quite see why Argento could be popular

I’ll be honest with you this is one of those sure fired places I end up going every birthday or christmas to find that one gift to keep the girlfriend or sister happy.
Argento stocks a wide range of styles to meet all fashion needs, from the old and gaudy to more modern silver and white gold pieces (faux gold I presume)
I ended up with a little pendant the last time for my sister, with the necklace in a dainty little box was only £28, however it was during a fantastic sale they were running at the time.
Much recommended for all your cheaper jewellery needs in the city for that someone special

Argento is a great go-​to place for presents. It stocks mostly costume jewellery, but good quality costume jewellery!
They’ve recently moved into bigger premises next door to their old shop and it’s much better. The old shop was barely big enough for two people to walk around in, so more space is a good thing!
The girls that work in there are also really lovely. Maybe they’re just trained really well, but they’re always really helpful and very good with clueless boys who just know that a necklace would be right way to go for a present!

Argento is a women’s jewellery store in the heart of the city. Now personally, I’ve never rocked out anything from this shop on a night out. Wrong gender, you see. But I have went here to buy a gift for someone. I haven’t a clue when it comes to jewellery, so I was relieved that the staff were as helpful as they were. I pretty much give an age and a little description of the person and they handed me the perfect gift. Brilliant confused guy service if I do say so myself. Their products vary in price but all in all I’d say it’s quite reasonable. I was a student at the time and had a very strict budget which I was able to keep to! A great placed for the confused, gift buying men of Belfast.

Argento is a jewelry shop and I admit it is strange for me to review it seeing I own nothing from here. However, I do believe it is important to get a perspective on these sorts of jewelry stores from a guy, and how well they cater for men looking to buy presents.
I have to say I get really intimidated in these kinds of stores, I feel weird, out of place and very very lost. However, the staff in Argento were incredibly accommodating and knew exactly what I was looking for. They could obviously tell I was a boyfriend looking for something for a girl, and with my terrible attempt at describing what I was looking for they managed to work it out and get me what I wanted. This is certainly a good place to go if you are lost for a present for that special someone.

Most of the jewellery gifts I’ve bought for my Mum have been from Argento. I think her jewellery box is full to bursting with items from here — and she loves them all. I cannot go past this place without looking at the window and starting to drool at the shine and sparkle of the glinting stones and shimmering precious metal arranged inside. The staff are SO helpful. I went in once to get advice on a chain for my wedding necklace and they were so lovely and informative about what my options were — and they didn’t push thier own products either, and that’s what will keep me going back. The prices aren’t bad either, I personally think it’s reasonably priced but that the jewellery looks like it costs a lot more than it does. Any shop that does the Pilgrim brand is fine by me too.

I love this store. Athough its a bit small and tricky if you have a lot of bags or buggy or wheel chair its worth having a look. They do a great range of more oringinal jewellery and its very reasonably priced. It als does a great range of hot diamonds including their charms which are not very easy to get. Great for gifts!
