This is a great little place on the quayside of Beaumaris — with lovely views and a great opportunity to sit outside on a sunny day! We were randomly in Beaumaris this weekend for a wedding and if the truth be know definitely felt a bit worse for wear in the morning so a trip out for some nourishing breakfast was the way forward! Choosing the yachtsman breakfast, it came with everything you’d want — artisan sausages, lovely toast and black pudding and I don’t think it was bad value at all for £8(I was feeling that rough and hungry that I probably would have paid £80…) — they’re big into local artisan produce here and you could really tell with what you were eating on the plate. My wife had a smaller brekkie and with a couple of coffees it came to £19 so not bad really. The only tip I’d say is for them to cook the bacon and sausage a little more but that’s just a personal thing. Overall a cool place to visit in Beaumaris.

Simple food but not enough to call a full lunch. You need to eat more than 1 dishes to get full. It is a long wait to get served, some people waited more than 15 minutes for being actually noticed… The spoons weren’t clean at all. But the toilet was clean but a little too cluttered. The view is good, but it is the only thing whats good.

It’s right on the waterfront in a Victorian building. It has free Wi-Fi. I tried one of their Jacket Potatoes. For the uninitiated, these are baked potatoes. This one was a Welsh Cheddar. Like everyplace I’ve been to so far in Wales, the cheese was shredded. It came with a sweet little fresh garden salad about the size of the palm of a child’s hand. To my surprise and to their rightful disgust, they have decaf tea and I asked for it. They have soy milk, it you want to substitute it for dairy. I broke down and had a piece of their millionaire shortbread. It is shortbread, a layer of caramel covered with a layer of chocolate. It was quite good. Not too hard, with a nice consistency between all three layers. I want to say this place isn’t suitable for children. When I arrived there was a family with two small children, whom at first seemed well-behaved, but upon placing my order, the one child started screaming bloody murder. They were right next to me, so I was concerned about how long they would be staying. They were finishing up. And to the little boy’s credit, he was wailing because he cut himself, blood was dripping down his hand. One of the wait staff had a first aid kit, and helped the child. On a final note: The reviewer before me gives Pier House Café only two stars, because the café is proud of their five-star hygiene rating, and he said they only deserved two stars, because he said the toilet facilities were unclean. My experience was different. Though the toilet and sink were older, the facilities were clean. Also I’m guessing this hygiene rating has a lot to do with the kitchen area. Looking around the café, the seating area was quite clean.

This should be Pier House, which is on the seafront in Beaumaris. Not sure what they had to do for their 5 star hygeine rating but suffice to say it wasnt cleaning.
