Raffaelle’s Italian Kitchen & Bar

It’s been a couple of months since I visited Raffaelle’s, but I’m certainly looking forward to going back. Every single one of our starters and mains were delicious, and although we were stuffed too full to even think about desserts the menu was certainly enticing.
Be prepared to spend some money on a good night out here — you could pay these prices in the city centre, but the food is definitely worth it!

I’ve now been twice and have mixed reviews! I had really high hopes as Romys chippy next door, owned by the same people, is fantastic! The décor is lovely and they have used the space well however downstairs can be quite cramped if big tables are in. The menu is big if overpriced however the lunch/​set menu is good value although the portion sizes are small. I also think the drinks are slightly overpriced. I enjoyed the bruschetta, it tasted fresh however my friend found the pâté to be standard, almost bought in. Our mains were ok I had lasagne which wasn’t spectacular, almost bland (I think it may have been bought in too!)and the pizza again also ok not much to write about! I have noticed the (very good) wait staff always seem run off their feet and stressed and have witnessed some wait staff being spoken to a bit harshly by management which was a bit uncomfortable to witness! I also don’t understand why the wait staff are not trusted to do card payments or take cash, it always seems to be management. Overall don’t think I’ll be back for a while.

Visited this new Italian restaurant in Bearsen, on Milngavie road. Very attractive surroundings and décor with a good atmosphere .
Staff were attentive and helpful but not intrusive. Good selection of Italian food which was nicely presented and tasted great .
I had Foccacia and Ravioli with ricotta and pine nuts as a main. Friends chose Penne with Salmon and Asparagus which was highly rated by them. Interested to see white pizza on the menu (no tomato sauce) will earmark for another visit hopefully.!!
Desserts looked enticing, the chocolate cake was huge but thought of the waistline and settled for coffee instead.
Would definitely return.

Fun little discovery while walking the area to look at Roman history. Very nice and high-​end. The food was great and the service (while slow… busy day) was good. I wish we had places like this in our little beach town.

Great choice of food and great prices for lunch menu. Pizza was just perfect and the pasta was very fresh and light.
Will definitely be back again to try out some more food.
