Moorfields Inn

A rather miserable place to be quite frankly, and one thing never go later than nine, the place is filled with loud, shouty drunks who make such a racket, my heart goes out to the poor people that live next to the place.

This is a proper locals pub, but it’s a great place for a quiet drink with your mates. The booze is cheap and the bar staff are really friendly, so you wont feel completely out of place. Some of the regulars in here are real characters and happy to share their story with anyone who’ll listen. There’s also a decent pool room to the side of the main drinking area and a darts board on the wall by the front door, so there’s plenty to keep you occupied, even if none of the locals engage you in conversation. In the summer, I recommend heading down in the day to make the most of the secluded pub garden round the back.
