Chalkys

Chalky’s is a music record shop located in Banbury, Oxfordshire. It is positioned on the high street in the main town centre in a safe, pedestrianised area. Chalky’s has been a haunt of mine for year, since I was a boy, fairly recently it has changed position on the high street, previously tucked away and unknown. The store is very popular amongst locals as it is not one of the standard HMV’s or Virgin chains, but independant. It therefore has a loyal local customer base. Deals there are frequent such as 3 CD’s for £10 or current chart CD’s at £5. The shop is often very busy, but organised well and has a great selection to choose from. The staff inside are always polite and welcoming, and always know what they’re doing. A Great little record store, a good and better value alternative to HMV and Woolworths.
