Bronte Steak House

I used to work in the fruit and veg shop that supplied here before moving away for uni, I always enjoy calling back though and going for dinner here.
They do really good steaks but there isn’t many other options on the menu if you have a vegetarian with you. Mid week you can get two steaks and a glass of wine each for £30, the steaks are delicious. I’ve been for Sunday dinner too which was really good.
Ian is lovely and always comes over to check up as well as his team of waitresses.
The bar area is quite nice too and they have a big open fire perfect for winter time with a homely feel.
They run competitions sometimes to win dinner there on their Facebook page although I’ve never won But it gives someone the chance who has never been to experience it.
It is a bit of a drive out into the country but I’ve yet to get lost, there is signposts for it though so you can’t really miss it.
They also have a really good chocolate brownie and ice cream for afters

Homely atmosphere and traditional food, steak being the speciality and its all GOOD
Basic enough for non meat eaters the odd fish and vegetarian dish, but solid home cooking… well worth the trip, you wont be disappointed

I went here for my wedding anniversary after friends reccomended it. we got lost finding it even though we knew the area but it is signposted and easy got to once we knew how. when you first go in you go into the lounge area and book in then you are called to the restaruant when your table is ready. while in the lounge you place your order, lovely food and really relaxing a bit expensive but well worth every penny, staff couldnt have been nicer so much i plan a return visit again and better still if you dont feel like dressing up to go to it you dont have to its set in a quite rural area for that special date it comes without a doubt highly reccomended
