I’ve never been much of a card person, but I’m adapting to the US and UK way of expressing myself through Hallmark … ehh … greeting cards, I mean. After all there are tonnes out there, for every mood possible. This independent card shop has a very cute and quirky collection of cards. No dreary bad jokes, or really gooey pinkish and blueish«I hope I do not upset you with this meaningless card» cards. They collection ranges from art, to hipster cards and also some really tasteful, but still fun kids cards. Because of this i decided that i will get all my cards from here now… get ready to be overwhelmed with many, many personalized, emotional but tasteful cards!

Great shop but need to correct the opening hours: closes at 1730, not 1900, on Mon and Tues.(Frustrated to find this out)

What a great little shop, popped in for a father’s day card and came out with a bag full of cards I didn’t realise I needed! Staff were great, even disappearing down a little hole in the floor to try and find me the exact card I was after. Well worth a visit, not quite sure what the chap below means by comaparing it to Clintons, it is nothing like clintons and that’s why I loved it!

I have never understood this shop, been in many times and although there’s a lot of choice I can never seem to find any decent cards, they’re all too boring or trying too hard to be funny. They also sell baby stuff and gifts but there are loads of other shops in balham doing the baby and gift thing much better so I wouldnt bother going to postmark for that either.

It won the prize for it, but it has the most original, quirky cards for every occasion. Brilliant!

Have you ever wanted to find that card that’s too clever or funny for Clintons but didn’t know where to find it? Postmark is that place! It was recommended to me by a friend when I wanted a valentines card that didn’t come with the usual sickeningly sweet gushing prose and declarations of love that would make Romeo drop his codpiece. Postmark is a teeny-tiny shop that sells all the usual card/wrapping stuff you might want. It has a range of obscure, odd and outright different stuff including the greatest cards in the world! I can’t say what they are because there will be a stampede and I know how limited these bad boys are. Imagine a handmade card by someone with a funky sense of humour and the design talent of a 5 year old with a pot of glue and some button eyes… mad but brilliant! The piece de resistance — Postmark was the first place to sell I love Balham mugs: 5 stars for that alone!

Postmark is the cutest little card shop this side of the river. It has all types of stationary that will cover any occasion. The buyers at this shop really invest themselves in their card selection. None of the cards are crap or too mainstream; it seems like all of them have a little tinge of witticism. If you need to stock up on wrapping paper or yearly planners they have a wide array of these as well. Really, there’s no going wrong with gifts from this place. Anything you choose will most likely be a winner.

This shop rocks. It has some of the funniest cards I’ve ever seen. There’s even a special collection of rude cards kept under the counter– they’re classic. I’ve also bought some lovely little tops and jelly cat toys for my nephew as well, which saves a trip into town. Can’t recommend it enough, give it a go, much better than clintons. Great for its cards and value for money.
