Of all the High Street shoe repairers, Timpsons seem to be the only one left in business. This place does do some excellent repairs on shoes and has saved my family and I a fortune over the years with repairs etc.
Whilst the cost of repairs is reasonable, I was totally shocked when I went in to get some engraving done on a tankard I bought from them. They were charging £1 a letter and I seem to remember that there was also some extortionate set up fee as well, all of which eventually cost more than the tankard itself. All that just to do engraving in the shop.
