The Doghouse

Pretty cool. Nice well thought out cocktails and the guys are very knowledgeable and always happy to explain the drinks. I am always happy to pop in as it’s just up the road from my pad and know a few of the guys there now as they are so friendly. A nice little cellar that is cosy and classy.

Now I do love a cocktail, and this place is lovely, set just off the centre, a green light shows you to the door way. Unlike other places this one is less hidden, as there is a bouncer out the front, but is a decedent as you’d expect for cocktail lounge.
The interior is like being inside tunnels, it’s friendly and relaxed without being pretentious, and extremely cosy.
The menu is creative and colourful with a Sci-​fi horrorville style with Creatures from Black Lagoon, Frankenstein etc adorning it.
I couldn’t decide, so was recommended Casanova Baby, a long drink with Vodka, strawberry and Lavendar Syrup, Lime Juice and Ginger Ale. It was the perfect balance of flavours, not too sweet refreshing and edgy.
