Have only used the Rose of India as a takeaway but we are really impressed. A big plus is that they deliver even up to 10 miles away. The Dansak from here is the best we have ever had and consistently so. Balti is a again excellent as are the rice and side dishes. The only reason this doesn’t have 5*s is that the Chicken Tikka Masala really isn’t that great and we won’t order this here. The delivery drivers are always friendly and punctual even though our house is quite difficult to find and this has become our Indian takeaway of choice.

A family-​owned and run Indian restaurant with somewhat ostentatious décor but good food.
My coworkers ordered the butter chicken which they did not enjoy, but I had a red tomato-​based curry which was delicious! I don’t remember the particular name of the curry, but it was one of the milder choices.
The rice selections were great, and I highly recommend the mushroom rice to go with your curry. It’s fragrant and flavorful.
There was a raucous birthday party going on when we came in for a somewhat late meal, but it wasn’t disruptive even though the restaurant space is small. This seems like a popular little eaterie, and I’m happy to support it.
