We dined here one Thursday lunch time we didn’t book but we didn’t need too as it was not particularly busy, in fact we arrived at noon and we were the only ones there. We were directed upstairs to the restaurant which was completely deserted we waited about ten minutes before someone came upstairs and showed us to a table, not long afterwards it started to fill up. The restaurant is very well decorated and you do get a great view from upstairs. My husband had the sea bass which is brought to the table and boned and I had the veal in a mushroom sauce we chose broccoli, mash hand cut Chips and the potatoes with bacon and onions. The Meal was quite splendid beautifully presented and very tasty and plentiful .we had the profiteroles for dessert which you tell could were hand made not of the frozen and thawed variety which you always get from all of the other places you eat at the chocolate sauce was proper too ! Well worth the visit will cost you a bit more our bill was £60 but did include two drinks can’t wait too go again.

I’ve been here many times. The food, drinks and staff are amazing. The specials menu is something special and if you have any dietary issues the staff are very willing to help. Every time I go I struggle to pick a dish as every one sounds(and is) so tasty! The views from the balcony are great of the lake and there’s more than adequate parking. You’ll definitely need to get a taxi back as the wine menu is something to enjoy. While it may seem expensive to some of us it is totally worth it and is perfect for a romantic meal or special occasion, or any occasion at that! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Visited San Giovanni for a Sunday afternoon meal. There was quite a number of us(15), so I imagine that would have been tricky to cater for. Food was OK — some of the party enjoyed their meal much more than others. Service was an issue. The staff seemed grumpy and not well trained(for example, passing food from opposite side of the table, not knowing who was having what dish, and expecting the customers to ask each other, leaning across people when tidying table and not at all smiley(with one notable exeption who was excellent with the baby in our party). Finally, when we asked if we could have desert on the patio(it was a lovely sunny day), we were refused… no idea why. Just seems to be a silly policy and seemed to sum up the approach of the staff. So, was OK… but not fantastic.

Excellent traditional Italian Restaurant with very nice outdoor water features and reception area for pre-drinks. Nice corners to hide away. Fantastic food and drink menus. This in not a pizza restaurant or suitable for very young children. Although they have a small selection of pizzas. Superb fresh sea food selection. Ideal for that special occasion. Budget at least £120 for two.(G&T, wine, starters, main, dessert, coffee. We will be going again!
