Under new management, now called Joy Garden. Still same good quality and service. Not the hottest of curries, if you like it hot try the Balti House in Rectory Lane. Slightly different menu from the old one, otherwise little change. Car park behind the shops, they also do take away and delivery. Full bar and air conditioned.

Following my recent trip to Vietnamese Restaurant(yes, that’s the actual name of the restaurant!) in Soho, I thought a trip to Curry House(yes, again, that’s its actual name) would make a nice pair of reviews. As my salsa friend was in Orlando, I was dining on my own yesterday evening. The menu was quite generic where most Indian restaurants now have a section of chef’s specialities. I therefore went for old favourites. The onion bhajee was inoffensive and cheap at £1.95. I usually find a biryiani a good test for an Indian restaurant’s kitchen and the lamb version was again edible but didn’t have the fragrance and depth of flavour of the best versions. My meal here fueled me up for salsa but like its name, Curry House’s food is plain.
