The Balloch House

This restaurant ruins our mood in Balloch! The worst dining experience we ever had in our trip at UK.
First of all, the menu they advertised outside the restaurant was some sort of deal to lure tourists into a trap or something. The pricing was different after we got our bill and was really confusing at explaining our charges. Ok, so we ordered steak dinners and ended up getting something else, and the food is very salty. Thus, we politely asked to switch one of them. The thing that really upset us, is that they agreed to replace our order but they didn’t explain to us from the beginning that they were going to charge us for the replacement meal and decided to make that decision on their own terms. What kind of customer service is that? Thats a NO NO guys. There has to be better communication between the waitress and the manager to the customer. If we know that we had to pay extra for our replacement then we would have not replaced it and we would have kept our same order. They adjusted the price afterwards, but still charged us extra than what it supposed to be.

A nice drink and lunch menu. There’s free parking, too. Try one of the cask ales, as they are quite tasty.

It may be a chain pub, but Vintage Inns have got the format perfected. Every one of their pubs have a modern décor in a traditional style, guest ales on tap and some of the best British pub cuisine you can find. If you’re looking for a nice place to enjoy a Sunday roast you can’t go far wrong picking this venue. Seating is available both inside and outside by boats in the river.
