Wow! This place is amazing! We came in here to look for some garden gnomes, which we actually didn’t find surprising, but they surely had about everything else you could think of! This place is huge!
I was most impressed with the GIANT castles! You could buy entire castles for your garden, or perhaps, you just wanted a corner of a castle? You can get that too! There were castle gates, draw bridges, archways, castle corners, broken castle walls, moats, life-​size horse sculptures, and because it was the holidays, about any life-​size winter animals or decorations you could think of! I took quite a few photos of this place because I just couldn’t believe it. It was like the Costco of garden supplies! I would really like to see the person’s house and garden setup that purchased the entire castle arrangement! Wow! Impressive!

Good selection of indoor and outdoor plants, furniture and ornaments. Large home-​wear section. Poor selection of young trees and seedlings but excellent older specimens including mature trees.

Garden Centre is really very nice with a great variety. However Staff in the Aquatic/​Pet Centre are badly managed. Think they need to employ a better supervisor. 3 different times now I have been charged the wrong price, waited and waited why they try sort it out with a till that they clearly don’t know how to use. With no interaction with the customer they discuss what to do before long you have 4 members of staff looking baffled. When I handed them a voucher to claim £5 off your next visit they didn’t know what it was. Took it back from them and handed it in at the desk at the entrance which are much much better.

This is the best garden center I’ve ever been too and make a point of going there when I’m in the Lake District.
It is huge and has everything you could want.
I’ve got many a plant there that I’ve never seen in local centers. They have some great plant pots and garden ornaments.
They also have a lot of gift type stuff and clothing and tents.
If your’e in the area at Christmas time make a point of visiting just to browse. They do the most fantastic Christmas and seasonal shop. It’s breathtaking and usually some size.
Lots of free parking outside. Staff will help just ask.

This is a huge garden center mid way between Ambleside and Waterhead.
They have a good selection of plants indoor and out. They also sell clothes, gifts, food gifts and other things you’d expect tofind in a garden centre.
Outside there is a huge display of tents, there must be at least 50 of all different styles and sizesalong with other essential camping items
The staff are great and all the products seem to be reasonably priced.
