Gardeners Arms

This pub is now under new management, has been refurbished and now serves food. There are 2 sides to the bar and TVs for sports. The variety of drinks available is alright for a local pub. There’s a small beer garden at the back of the pub too.

Went in here a couple of times over Christmas, generally to watch the various sporting events occurring. This is a large pub, certainly too large for the average number of people that are in there. It has had a checked past and it’s location means that people don’t really stumble across it, so improvements can only be conveyed via word of mouth.
The bar has a good few TVs showing sport and for this it’s fine; it feels like it could do with a refit as it looks and feels rather old school and dated. It has the classic snug and lounge layout from the days when there was plenty of industry at the end of road.
I went in there on a Saturday evening and there were only about 6 people in there. I have been told it’s under new management so thinks might improve, though only time will tell that.
It’s worth popping your head in and seeing if it’s now to your liking.
