A lovely surprise find in Alton. You pass, (and go in, I hope), this store if you use Market Street when leaving Lady Place car park. Two storey building that carries some heavyweight stock.
Very well stocked with 1st Editions and loads of Jane Austin, naturally!
Keep your eye fro the very good selection of Poetry, Tennyson being well represented.

So nice to find such a nice bookshop in Alton, up towards the market square. It is stuffed with interesting volumes. The contents have obviously been very carefully chosen to fill the two floors available and I came away with a nice copy of some Tennison poems, a book on hereldry I had always loved when I was a kid and hadn’t seen since, and a book on the pre-​raphaelites. I longed for a nice copy of the Seven Pillars of Wisdom and enjoyed looking at the Rackham prints. There was even the odd science fiction book which would keep me happy.
