Enjoyed a post cinema meal here recently and would definitely recommend. Always a bit wary of eating in shopping mall restaurants but the food here is really good. The staff were really helpful and explained the menu in detail. The portions were generous, the sharing platter for two could have been split for 3. All the main dishes we tried were delicious but would have to recommend the Massaman curry it was delicious!

As people who lived and grew up in big cities, we are used to a wide range of possibility for every cuisine. When we were at Union Square looking for a place to eat we and decided to stop at Thaikhun for some green and red curry. The décor and ambiance is a reminder of the busy Bangkok streets except for the music which is not Thai, not that you can hear it through the bustling from all the people around us, as this restaurant is very popular and for a good reason. We thoroughly enjoyed our curries. They were so good we definitely had to go back, and have done so several times now. Their menu has a selection of «Must eat» items and from trying a few of them, we’d say they are worth it. We’ve had the«Must eat» Phad Thai and the Moo Prik Ging(Crispy pork belly). We loved the pork so much that we now have to order it every time. The only thing with this meal is that it is quite small so you definitely want to order rice or noodles to go with it. When going without a reservation they may ask to leave before a certain time as they would need the table for a reservation. They also seem to have issues with their card machine where we occasionally been asked to go to the front of the restaurant to pay so you may want to bring some cash just in case.

A bit busy and very kitschy, but tasty food. We stopped by at 6:00 without a reservation and were asked if we could commit to being done by 7:00 because of existing reservations. This was not a problem so we were seated immediately. I ordered the Massaman Gai. It was delicious. Intriguing combination of flavors that I had not tasted before in a Thai dish. My date ordered the Puk Boong Fai Daeng(stir fried morning glories). The flavor and texture were nice, but it is *not* a main course. It is literally stir fried stems on a plate. No rice even. Order it as a side dish or starter. As 7:00 approached we wrapped up our meal and then spent about 20 minutes trying to get our check. They struggled to use the card machine and had to take it to the front of the restaurant for signal. Even then it didn’t work and we ended up paying cash. So, some hiccups, but the food was excellent. One of the better meals I have had in Aberdeen and FAR better than what I expected at a restaurant at Union Square. I can accept mediocre service when it’s a meal I would happily eat again.
