What’s this, can it be true? A hotel in Aberdeen that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg, and while we’re at it, several other limbs and important functional organs just to rest your weary head for a night? Yup, I really have to hand it to the Ibis. This has to be one of the best value for money hotels in town. Having only opened in the last year or so(possibly late 2011 I think), it is still spotlessly clean, fresh and modern looking. The Ibis Hotel is situated slap bang in the centre of Aberdeen. Fortunately it’s tucked away on Shiprow and it’s a quiet enough street that you should get a good nights sleep. Rooms are spacious, again very clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast is also good value, buffet style, with a choice of continental options, like croissants, meats, cheeses, breads, yoghurt but they also have your typical Scottish fried stuff too. They have a very nice bar to relax in the evening and the staff are exceptionally pleasant. The Ibis doesn’t often show up on comparison sites so its always a good idea to check with the website directly.
