Filling Station

I used to go there a lot since my friend worked there and I really liked it. Good food, great service and amazing cocktails… I don’t need more :)

Went there for lunch and have been there a few times. However we were very disappointed with the food we had. To be honest we were a little disappointed on our last visit too, but decided to give it another go. Everything was overcooked and over priced. We will not be going back.

chain restaurant, ok but nowt to right home about, funky décor bit like tgif. in fact looks like a complete knock off of tgif. kids like it

After a couple of Beers, strolling along the street on a sunny afternoon my youngest (18) decided he needed the little-​boys-​room. So we made a quick detour into the filling station to use the facilities & ended up staying.
The Daytona racing theme & American Diner feel makes this place totally unlike the normal Aberdeen establishments. As Beervation had set in (Beer induced Hunger) we quickly decided to stay & have a snack. A lovely waitress appeared & in her best Polish accent showed us to some booth seating along the side walls.
The Menu is great if you like Burgers, Pizza, Pasta or Meat (There are some Salads hidden away if you can drag yourself past the Man food).
I had the Manhatten Burger & even when I switched into ‘FAT Bastard Mode’ I still couldn’t quite finish this meat feast.
So. Service was good, waitresses were friendly, Food came quick & was good quality, we generally had a relaxing time. Difficult to find fault with the entire Filling Station experience.
Not the place to bring a date, but for a quick meal, or with a group this place works well.
They have an All day Breakfast menu which is just the ticket after a big night out. On Union street, the Filling Station Breakfast always came second, but as Frankenstein’s has closed down maybe this could take the crown?

have been a few times but the last time we went it was busy and there were only 2 people serving so had to wait about 25 mins to get our drinks. our food finally came but it was our main courses rather than the starters we ordered. we were told he had forgotten about them and would we like them after our main course mmmh no thanks!
its a nice looking place and plenty of tables just dont go at a peak time!
