We spent a few days in the Porto area and was advised to visit the town of Aveiro. during our walk we spotted this place and frankly there were not many nice looking restaurants around in the touristy places and I didn’t do my usual review homework so I took a chance on this one. We sat outside as the weather was still great, our waitress was the most lovely, and friendly girl with a beautiful smile on her face at every moment. We tried the octopus appetizer which was perfect and splurged for the grilled tiger prawns(which I feel we were ripped off on, 70 Euros a kilo and we ordered 4 which cost 50 Euro, no way did 4 shrimp weigh more than 1 kilo). Our entrée was the pork, which I forget the name but its a typical Portuguese dish. It came with potatoes which are first fried, then baked so you can imagine how good they were. I washed this all down with delicious regional wine and all was good. I probably would have given them 5 stars if they didn’t rip us off with the shrimp and then lied about it when we called them on it. Not nice, but I guess some places rip off tourists. They said they sold us the last 4 tiger shrimp so they couldn’t weigh 4 of them in front of us. That made it worse to be honest, but we enjoyed the meal, never the less.
