If you’re so inclined, Kelly’s is the place to go to watch sport and drink a familiar pint. Pretty much your typical Irish pub, there are a few screens showing sporting events — usually Gaelic games, though we went to see Wimbledon, and the atmosphere was fantastic — and even their very own golf team, with members of the hole in one club photographed on the wall. There is ample seating and a few large fans they roll out when it gets too stuffy, which can happen very quickly when you think about traditional pub seating! The Monday and Friday night quizzes are a good laugh, with everyone joining(even if one or two answers are wrong…) and they take on a whole other level once you’ve had a glass of wine or two. Free wi-fi, you just have to ask at the bar for the password. No frills entertainment.
