Would definitely recommend making a reservation — we came here on a Friday evening and had to wait 1.5 hours for a table. However, it was worth it! We spent the waiting time in the attached bar, where we enjoyed some lovely(mainly port-based) cocktails. The food and service in the restaurant were both great, and the prices are very reasonable. I had some lovely, plump, juicy prawns for starter, which were beautifully cooked, and then the pig cheeks for main course, which just fell apart and melted in the mouth. The duck breast than my boyfriend chose was also delicious. The wine selection was good, and again reasonably priced.

Éste será uno de esos sitios que recomendaré en adelante a todos los que vengan unos días a Lisboa. Me encantó la decoración del sitio nada más cruzar la puerta. Muchas cosas antiguas mezcladas con toques modernos que le dan un aire molón y hipsterioso al lugar. Esa mezcla de lo antiguo y lo nuevo es una pista de lo que pasa en la cocina. Platos tradicionales portugueses con toques modernos que hacen que todo esté delicioso. Fui a cenar y es cierto que el sitio está bastante lleno, así que mejor reservar. Si eres como yo y se te olvida, también tienes la opción de esperar en el bar de la entrada con una rica copa de vino hasta que te den mesa. Sólo tengo una queja. Es un sitio de moda y hay mucha gente, así que no esperes tranquilidad ni mucho espacio entre tu mesa y la de al lado. Si no puedes ir a cenar, dicen que el brunch también es fenomenal!

Came without a reservation, were told we might have to wait an hour but got a table for 2 within 15 minutes. The service was incredible all throughout — from I seeding drinks before we got seated to asking for a side of vegetables(not on the menu) and being delivered a delicious plate of sautéed veggies, we were very happy and grateful. The sea bass was fresh and light, and my friend loved her rice dish(«Lisbon on a plate»), which was exactly what she was hoping for. Very glad we came and would absolutely come again.

The only good thing about my experience was the delicious glass of wine. I was told to sit on the patio because they were getting the restaurant ready for dinner reservations. That was understandable and sitting on the patio was my plan anyway. However, once I received my glass of wine and tapas, I was told I had to leave the table in 20 minutes. For me, that’s not even enough time to drink a glass of water or use a napkin(which I never received after asking). I wouldn’t have sat down or I would have made a reservation for another day if I knew this was the case. Even though I planned on taking my time because I was a paying customer, I was being watched by the staff and felt extremely awkward and unwelcome. I rushed through my meal and went to the park across the street to write this review.

First of all, for gods sake — any day of the week, get a reservation. The locals and the tourists love this place. Just about everything is amazingly good, the prices are good, the service is good, and I even say this when I had a misunderstanding with one of the wait staff about getting a table. The Supremo chicken is one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had in the world. They do interesting things with flavor for both the chicken and the steaks. The location puts you in one of the best views in Lisbon with a nice smooth walk down to Avendida if you want to see the grand giant old avenue of Lisbon. I’ll be back.

So… We were here twice. We ate here 0 times. How? Well let me tell you, on Sundays the only serve brunch the whole day, and when we came back on Monday at around 4 P.M. they told us that we cant order any food and that was is. Just after I asked when is it even posaible to eat here, they told me that lunch is served until 3 P.M. And dinner starts at 8 P.M. So, even though I’m sure that the food is excelent, I won’t be comming back to check. The problem is that they could have told us about the serving hours the first day we came, or even the second, without me asking. Or they could post that info somewhere.

I love it when a restaurant lives up to it’s hype. But in this case, they exceeded expectations. Decadente is located in the Barrio Alto, a hip and upcoming neighborhood of Lisbon this restaurant completely fits in the scene. We know this would be a challenge as we walked in on a Friday night hoping for a table. Reservations are a must, but we had a plan. Arrive early(before opening) at 7:00. None of the pretty young people would be here and we may just have a chance… We were told that all the tables were booked, but if we returned at 7:30(opening time) and put our name on the waiting list that there would be a pretty good chance that we may actually score a table. He also told us to check at the front desk and see if there were any last minute cancellations and we could even nail an actual reservation. We took his advice and headed for the front desk. We were immediately told there were no openings, but as he finished his sentence he looked down at his screen and says«oh wait! we just had a table for two cancel for 7:30!» Yeah baby! From start to finish Decadente was a winner. The service warm and inviting, the food absolutely delicious. There are plenty of options for both meat, seafood and vegetarians. And you cocktail lovers will embrace the creative cocktail list. Our server for the evening was from Belarus, and she could not have been more helpful. Her knowledge of he menu(and especially the wine list) was amazing. I was torn between two ports and she made it a point to bring me servings of both(but she also had a strong opinion on which I would prefer… and she was right). Yes, Decedante is worth the climb up the hill.

Our least favorite meal in Lisboa. We arrived around 2pm for the brunch buffet and though the buffet options were plenty, yogurt, fresh fruit, croissants, cheese meats and olives, a few salads and desserts. With the brunch buffet you get the option of one of 3 egg dishes. They were all mediocre in my opinion the egg being cold on most of our entrees was also not a good sign. We did sit outside and were able to enjoy our pitcher of sangria in the sunshine and cool outdoor space. They don’t take resos so either arrive at the start or tail end like we did to be garunteed a seat

We were staying in the Bairro Alto neighborhood and walked past one night because this place was packed with people who looked like they were having a great time. Don’t be fooled by the fact that the Decadente is part-hostel — this resturant/bar is AMAZING! Reservations pretty much required for dinner… unless you want to try your luck by showing up at 7:30pm and waiting to see if reservations didn’t show up. The menu looked fresh and inventive — I had the rice with fish and shrimp, which was worthy of being remembered as my last meal in Portugal. Our neighbors also enjoyed their fish and pasta(side note: one of the great things about this place is the variety of people that you’ll meet!). Do not — I repeat, DONOT — leave this place without getting a drink or two! Ask the waitstaff what they think is best — they’re not afraid to give a strong opinion once you describe what you’re looking for. The Hectorade was one of the best drinks I’d had in a very long time. For added awesomeness, they often have live music on weekend evenings, making it difficult to tear yourself away to explore more of what Lisbon has to offer. (Side note: had I visited with my boyfriend, I imagine it would have been pretty darn romantic to get tipsy here and cross the street to the lookout point. If that’s not your thing, about 50 other bars are right around the corner!)

Incredible restaurant and bar. One of the best, if not the best, meal we had on our recent trip to Portugal and Spain. A very cool and modern space with top notch service and bartenders. Awesome cocktails and a great wine list at great prices, as you’d expect in Lisbon. Tons of great food on the menu, mixing modern twists with traditional Portuguese dishes, and done so perfectly. All of this is a very high end, yet casual and relaxed dining experience, at a very, very reasonable price. We had a few cocktails, a starter, a bottle of wine, and two entrees for I think under 80 euros. Just absurdly cheap given the quality of the restaurant and the food. Easily the same meal would have been twice as much in most larger cities back in the States. Such a great restaurant. We loved it.

Very nice restaurant in the Independente Hotel. Great Bar out the front and a nice outdoor, smoking area out the back. Restaurant itself is a lovely room and the staff are great, they gave us a great review for the next evening. lovely steak and Portugese Black Pork. The Black Pork was amazing so much flavour Thin Strips turned on the BBq, fantastic. Also the steak was very good, dry aged rib eye, lots of flavour. Pues ahí que me fui a Lisboa a hacer un poco de turismo y a conocer la ciudad, llegue un día antes que mis amigos y me fui a cenar a este sitio yo solito. El sitio esta muy bien puesto y los camareros estaban atentos a todo lo que pudieras necesitar, aparte de simpatiquísimos. Lo mejor de todo si se puede destacar algo sobre el resto de las cosas fue el pato confitado que me tome, estaba rico no, lo siguiente. Lo recomiendo con la fuerza de los mares y el ímpetu del viento, como dice la canción Además del pato me tome un postre que no recuerdo cual era, y a pesar de que yo no soy muy fan del dulce, me encanto. El precio me sorprendió, esperaba una megacuenta y la verdad que es bastante asequible. Si te pasa por Lisboa y quieres cenar a gusto y bien rico no dudes en pasarte solo o acompañado.

O The Decadente é um bom exemplo de um restaurante de que dificilmente não se gosta. A decoração é um assombro. O humor é omnipresente nos menús. A qualidade dos pratos e das bebidas é inquestionável. Existe um pátio exterior como opção mais tranquila em relação à sala principal, mas dentro ou fora, penso que não vale a pena aparecer sem reserva prévia. Os preços são razoáveis. Defeitos? Demasiadas pessoas que trazem demasiado ruído, pelo menos à hora de jantar. O melhor é a descontração do staff, patente nos suspensórios da farda, às vezes caídos. Ambiente de primeira porém bastante descontraído que de decandente só tem mesmo o nome. Ficou aberto o apetite para um brunch.

Weekend de mon enterrement de vie de garçon, c’est ici que vous avons atterri le samedi soir ! Pas toujours facile de trouver de la place lorsqu’on est un groupe de 11 personnes, mais un coup de fil 2 semaines avant au Decadente aura suffit pour nous réservée une petite salle privée ! Curieux comme je suis j’ai évidemment fait un tour du côté restaurant ! Déco canon, un peu à la façon berlinoise… du vieux, du chiné, du vintage, des vieux cadres aux murs, un beau parquet blanchi et de vielles appliques. Un tout petit peu moins satisfait de ce que nous avons trouvé dans l’assiette. Si le poulpe en entré était parfaitement assaisonné, ce n’était pas le cas du ceviche, frais, mais qui manquait cruellement d’acidité. Le picanha(morceau de boeuf bresilien) n’a pas vraiment rattrapé le coup… trop cuit, et donc pas assez tendre… avec 3 minis morceaux de pomme de terre rissolée… par contre, les linguine à l’encre de sèche étaient un régal. Un peu d’inconstance donc au niveau de l’assiette, mais une ambiance et un cadre qui vaut vraiment le détour !

En week-end à Lisbonne, nous cherchions un bon resto pour le samedi soir. Heureusement, Unilocal a volé à notre secours pour nous offrir le coup de coeur gastronomique du séjour. On entre dans une auberge de jeunesse de haut vol: vieil immeuble rénové avec moulures et super bel escalier. On a commencé par des cocktails dans la partie bar. La déco comme les verres étaient super: cocktails à 7 euros avec des mélanges intéressants et quelques places assises au milieu de mobilier de bric et de broc. A noter que de petites portions à grignoter sont dispo. Un très bon point pour l’apéro. La partie resto est encore mieux. Il y a deux services, 20h et 22h. Je vous conseille de réserver, car c’était blindé. La salle est hyper chaleureuse, les serveurs super cools et très serviables. Nous avons dîné à l’extérieur, en terrasse. Plus calme et très intimiste à base de bougies et autres détails très sympa. La carte présente une cuisine moderne et inventive, inspirée de la cuisine portugaise. On y trouve: — des entrées entre 6 et 8 euros. testé la salade de poulpes, oignons rouges, PDT et huile d’olive papikra: un peu gras mais excellent. — des plats entre 8 et 15 euros. Coucous veggie avec sauce yaourt: raffraichissant, équilibré. Le plat de porc de 12 heures de mon compagnon était apparemment très réussi. –des desserts de 4 à 6 euros. La purée de banane/crème citronnée était très bien présentée, et super originale. — une carte de vin, avec beaucoup de vins portugais, très bien décrits et très abordables(dès 3 euros le verre) Allez y les yeux fermés!

Entenda-se antes demais que eu gosto particularmente do termo decadente. Associo-o ao movimento artístico e literário do séc. XIX. Associo-o a Oscar Wilde e a Charles Baudelaire… Um bar, balcão de bancos altos, que por pequeno que pareça deixa alas abertas para as salas que se seguem. Sirva-se o rosé para começar As entradas no The Decadente são as de «Conversas do Miradouro». A oferta é grande entre cremes de legumes, saladas, dois carpaccios, camarões e a nossa escolha: «The Pica-Pau». Pequenos pedaços fatiados de carne de novilho, cozinhados ao ponto com alho e mostarda antiga. A acompanhar, pedaços de pão bem fresco que pediam para ser banhados no molho. Bom, muito bom. Carne macia, dose certa para entrada. Não é à toa que parece ser o prato mais famoso da casa. «Há mar e mar, há ir e voltar», a carta de peixe sugere 5 pratos vindos da agua. Escolhemos«Peixe da noite». Lombo do peixe do dia em sautée, batata migada com alho e coentros e couve pak choy grelhada. Pampo. Excelente. Como é um peixe de carne branca e firme, permite-se ao salteio sem grande risco. Satisfeitos, e sempre acompanhados pelo serviço irrepreensível, passamos então ao prato de carne. «Do interior para a cidade» é como se chama a carta de carnes. Escolhemos o «Confit no Pato». Perna de pato confitada com couscous de cogumelos Portobello e salsa, molho de soja e chalotas caramelizadas com laranja e tomilho. Pato confitado é outra escolha ousada. Horas de cozedura antecedidas de horas de preparação. Veio a rigor, brilhante, bem guarnecida de molho, encorpado quanto baste com um agridoce entre o salgado do molho de soja e o doce da laranja. As chalotas caramelizadas contribuíam para maior doçura. Muito além da típica cozedura, os pequenos grãos de massa estavam num ponto certo de secura onde os cogumelos e a salsa combinavam maravilhosamente. Quanto à carne, irrepreensível. Saborosa, a soltar os nacos sem perder a forma. Pedimos então a sobremesa. Havia também boa escolha entre tartes, bolos e fruta mas resolvemos escolher«De Seia para Lisboa», que mais não é que um cheesecake de queijo de Seia e compota caseira de tomate. Excelente. Para beber escolhemos um Douro Vinha do Bispado. Também aqui a satisfação foi de monta. Decadente. Como se quer. Uma boa gestão de reservas, porque aparentemente a casa está sempre cheia, garante que tudo funciona. É um dos bons novos espaços de Lisboa.

O decadente é uma das estrelas maiores do Bairro Alto/Príncipe Real. Pegaram num prédio antigo de Lisboa, reabilitaram de uma ponta à outra, e tornam-se o Hostel/Restaurante/Bar, mais premiado da zona de Lisboa e a nível nacional. A decoração é uma grande mistura de peças com história dividida por várias salas. O casa de banho, quando lá estive, confesso que não gosto nada porque parecia estar em obras. O espaço exterior está muito bem aproveitado e o preço/qualidade/quantidade é um dos melhores que conheço.

Quando entrei pela primeira vez, ao almoço, tanto pelo próprio espaço como pela decoração, esperava uma refeição dispendiosa porém e apesar da carta do dia quanto a mim não ser de grande escolha, valeu a pena relativamente ao preço/qualidade. Achei o serviço um pouco demorado. Quase 1:30h para um almoço semanal, não é aceitável Quanto á decoração, gostei bastante; algumas peças fizeram-me recordar as antigas mercearias. O espaço exterior, esse sim, conquistou-me pela tranquilidade conseguida no meio da cidade.

O novo spot da moda em Lisboa reúné quatro espaços num só: bar, restaurante, esplanada e hostel(The Independente). Aviso já que é difícil arranjar mesa sem marcação prévia. Porquê? Pelos cocktails, pelos pratos deliciosos e cozinhados no ponto e pelo ambiente de convívio descontraído. O cocktail Sylvestre, para quem virou as costas ao álcool, tem frutos vermelhos, malagueta, limonada e folhas de manjericão. Na versão alcoólicos há a destacar o cocktail Ginjinha Royal, um flute de champanhe com ginjinha e um toque de cerveja. A ementa é dominada por pratos de cozinha portuguesa moderna, elaborados com requinte, e as bochechas de porco com batata doce e redução de vinho tinto são de chorar por mais. Para sobremesa não deixem de provar o Petit Decadent: bolo de chocolate com espuma de frutos vermelhos.

Confesso que ainda só tive oportunidade de provar o brunch mas gostei bastante dessa tarde já bem tarde, em que lá fui parar. Começa por aí…adoro brunch com horário alargado… para quê parar com um brunch às 15h se podemos tê-lo até às 17h? O brunch é buffet com uma padaria farta, cereais, saladas, sumos e tudo a que temos direito. Podemos ainda escolher um prato. Como éramos quatro pessoas e haviam 3 opções, optámos por varias e provar um pouco de todos. Sentámo-nos na esplanada na parte de trás do restaurante, bastante informal e descontraída, o que fazia sentido, não se fosse este restaurante dentro de um hostel.

Restaurante do The Independente um hostel instalado numa localização perfeita, com uma vista soberba do miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara. Um antigo palacete onde se une, o turista e o local numa divertida e curiosa convivência. Não é de estranhar, portanto, ver ao final do dia um conjunto de pessoas de todas as nacionalidades, no balcão de bancos altos ou à porta a fumar com uma bebida na mão. A decoração é curiosa e sujeita ao olhar automático de quem entra, mas de facto o que espreita lá fora é uma visão sobre um dos miradouros mais bonitos de Lisboa que completa o espaço.

J’y suis allée un soir a 20h sans réserver, une chance il restait une table pour nous 5. Nous avons dîner dans une ambiance très sympa(serveur génial et groupe live). La cuisine est TRÈS bonne. Nous avons pris : — entrée: carpaccio de bœuf(extra) — plats: cuisse de confit de canard Et couscous riz aux crevettes et coriandre morue aux amandes grillées, miel et pommés de terre au four et épinards les enfants, des pâtes aux champignons : Nous avons ADORÉ !!! Il n’est rien resté dans les assiettes ! En dessert, j’ai pris une tarte au citron et sa crème: très bonne(j’ai regretté de né pas avoir pris le verre de vin propose avec pour 2 ou 3EUR), d’autre ont pris le dessert petit décadente compose d’un fondant chocolat et sa crème aux fruits rouges et il s ont aimé aussi. Avec 2 verres de vin, et 3 cocas, nous avons payé 93EUR, soit moins de 19EUR/pers. Un tout petit bémol: la salle est bruyante Comme un peu partout au Bairo Alto ;)!!
