Noobai Café

Beautiful views, nice terraces, a little more expensive than an average Lisbon restaurant, but the food was good. It is a busy place so service can be a bit slow.

This was one of the most vegan-​friendly restaurants I came upon during my entire European trip. And by that I mean, not 100% vegan, but super friendly to people of all sorts of eating choices, which made my life easier when most of my family requires chicken at most meals. Everyone ate a great lunch, and not one person complained.
We sat on the top terrace with gorgeous views of the river, and started with a pitcher of rose sangria with lime and pomegranates. Yes! This was such a home run. We ordered a bunch of small dishes to share. The bread with tapenade and red pepper spread was only okay, it wasn’t very fresh and a little too hard, but the tapenade it came with saved the day. It was so delicious and I kept finding myself coming back for more. The vegetable dumplings were tasty and satisfying. Then they had a vegetarian special with tofu and corn, and while it doesn’t sound very exciting, I loved it! The corn was chopped and seasoned in such a way that it almost tasted like a sweet grain, and it paired perfectly with the grilled tofu. I was personally thrilled to have well prepared tofu after a few days of carbs and fats.
Everyone loved Noobai, for so many reason. The views, the sangria, and the healthy variety of food really won us over. Even if you’re not with a mixed bag of eaters, this place should be on your list!

Si vous n’êtes pas venus avec vos bouteilles ou votre picnic pour vous poser sur le miradouro do Adamastor (Sta Catarina) et être en mode «botellon «, passez au Noobai !
Très sympa pour prendre un ou deux verres (le mojito passion et la piña colada étaient pas mal), je n’ai pas goûté les plats, mais le pain farci au fromage coulant (photo) est pas mal, par contre les raviolis aux légumes étaient bien fades.
Bön plan: prendre l’apéro ici en profitant de la vue, puis descendre à travers les ruelles en serpentin bien cools pour manger au foodcourt du Mercado da Ribeira, situé juste en bas à Cais do Sodre, à 15mn à pied !

Nice place to eat and to have a drink. The rooftop is wow! And the food is average with some very good tapas.

Très jolie vue sur la Tage sur les deux terrasses du bat. La carte des boissons est bien fournie, le service agréable et discret. Nous n’avons pas testés les tapas mais ils semblaient appétissant.

I have been to Noobai on a Sunday for brunch. The place is simple and the highlight are the two terraces with view on the river.
We got the «brunch energie» which had a lot of fruits (very good!), scrambled eggs, tomatos and mushrooms, bacon, salmon and cottage cheese. In the brunch it is also included a drink (juice or coffee/​tea) all for 14 EUR which is a good price! The juices were freshly made, which is a plus! The strawberry/​basil was good and interesting!
The bread was nothing special, they could maybe improve that. :)
The food was good but nothing exceptional. I wish they had more options for brunch or possibilities to combine different items.
Next time I would try to go there for a drink in the sunset! The lunch dishes also looked appealing!

Exceptional food! Wonderful view! Casual atmosphere with casual service. There’s a play area for children to make noise and crash toys together. The food could easily be served and praised in a fine dining restaurant.

Noobai was great! We were visiting Lisbon and stayed about a block away. For the most part you pay for the views here. The food was great, but nothing too special. I had salmon on naan with sundried tomato and greens. The naan was more of a cracker instead of actual naan, but it was tasty nonetheless!
Come for the views for sure, but don’t expect anything over the top!

Noobai is the kind of place that my 17-​year-​old backpacker self would have loooooved even more than my 30-​year-​old honeymooner self did. The cheap drinks! The flirty bartenders! The romantic views from multi-​level terraces! The chill 90s music! It’s a magical place that’s accessible to all ages and budgets; the kind of place you’ll want to end your night at, every night, when in Lisbon.
The best memories are made on rooftop bars with river views, but there are only a handful of them to be found in Lisbon. Noobai and Park were two of our faves. Noobai is more laid back, casual and less club-​like. Park is more hip and sceney, with slightly higher-​up views. Both are worth a trip, but Noobai is more approachable if you’re feeling a little scruffy.
My favorite part was when I ordered a piña colada, but was convinced it didn’t have any rum in it. I marched up to the bar and nicely asked for an extra splash of rum. The bartender happily agreed, and with a mischievous smile, proceeded to top off my glass with a few shots of top-​shelf dark rum. It took me all night to suck it down, it was so strong. I could taste the rum this time — not complaining!

Le Noobai café a de nombreux avanatages:
— c’est le spot idéal pour profiter du soleil et d’une vue imprenable sur le fameux pont lisboate et sur la ville.
— Les prix sont doux: 14 euros le brunch, 8 euros la salade, 10 euros le plat.
— Le personnel est adorable
— On peut réserver en terrasse pour un brunch, par mail
— On peut y rester des heures.
Je né mets pas 5 étoiles car pour moi ce n’est pas de la grande cuisine. C’est ok, mais pas non plus incroyable.

What a lovely setting. We sat here in the evening for a drink and a snack before dinner (a good way to try lots of different places and ALL the food when you’re on holiday!). We were fortunate to get a table at the front so had an unspoilt view looking over the rooftops to the river. When the sun went down the bridge had lights twinkling on it which looked really pretty.
The wine we chose wasn’t the best but it grew on us. We ordered the croquettes and they were the best though. I could have eaten them all night. Crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. Just how a croquette should be.
It was a busy spot but I just wish the sun set in that direction as that would be a magnificent view. Can’t complain about that though!

The view is beautiful by the service is cold and not friendly at all. Most places in Lisbon have very friendly service. They were not rude here, just not accommodating at all.
The food was just okay. It’s close to where we are staying but we will find somewhere new.

Parfait pour un drink du soir. Des châles sont prêtés et c’est bien, car le vent est frais. Vue très chouette.

Noobai’s food isn’t really anything to write home about, they have some local style tapas (boquerones were nice, as were the croquetas) and then mainly sandwiches, hamburgers and other ‘international food.’ I had the herb crusted cod which was a generous piece of fish although again not an outstanding taste.
What I did really like about Noobai though is the two terraces with stunning water views, the extremely friendly and efficient service and the cosy and colourful interior space. It’s also very reasonably priced given its excellent location.

Excellents cocktails, variés, avec beaucoup de fruits et pour un prix tout à fait correct. Le noobaï c’est aussi et surtout une vue imprenable sur le tage, nous sommes en effet au belvédère sainte Catherine

Went there the first day when I were in Lisbon because of the great view. It’s really busy there and not easy to get a seat at the terrace. The food is okay, neither more nor less…

We decided to go to this place as a friend had recommended it. This place is a mix between Portuguese food and Thai food.
Beautiful view in a nice atmosphere, service was quite slow, I’m always ok with that as it was a bit crowded.
We ordered some croquettes, a warm beef salad, prawns with almond tempura, a white ice tea (cinnamon with water) and the «amazing» papaya and lime fresh juice (adding water to a juice is always a bad thing to do –ME NO BE HAPPY). Only to find out that they had just run out of prawns, so we changed it for the vegetables dumplings.
The croquettes were decent, tasty and juicy, the beef salad was acceptable for someone who doesn’t know what Thai food tastes like (they were really generous with the beef though).
Overall we weren’t very satisfied, especially after having eaten amazing Portuguese food the previous day. We don’t recommend those dishes. Also make sure they have enough papaya in reserve before ordering that juice — to avoid extreme deception and sadness.

Sempre que está sol e procuro um lugar para estar um pouco, o Noobai é um dos lugares que me vem imediatamente à cabeça. Sempre que tenho amigos de fora a visitar Lisboa, esta é uma paragem obrigatória.
Além da vista fantástica sobre o Tejo e sobre uma parte de Lisboa, o atendimento é simpático e o espaço super agradável.
As comidas e as bebidas também são fantásticas e creio que são acessíveis ;)
O único senão é que está sempre cheio (mesmo cheio), pelo que por vezes, é preciso alguma paciência para encontrar uma mesa. Mas vale a pena :)

Envie d’admirer Lisbonne en sirotant un cocktail? Envie de voir le soleil se coucher sur le Tage? Le NooBai Café est fait pour vous !
Pour ça, il vous faudra grimper sur la colline de Santa Catarina (le funiculaire de Bica peut vous y aider si besoin). Vous découvrirez alors — un peu essoufflé, certes — cette double terrasse et sa vue époustouflante sur la ville.
Côté carte, on y trouve de tout pour chaque moment de la journée: des tapas et des cocktails pour l’apéro, des salades et des tartes pour le déjeuner et pour le brunch, des gâteaux et des jus pour le goûter… le tout à des prix très raisonnables !
Le mojito aux fruits de la passion est un peu trop sucré à mon goût mais plaisant malgré tout !
Coup de cœur, enfin, pour la «sakerinha»: quand le saké fusionne avec la caïpi, ça donne un cocktail très frais et étonnant !
Le service est très sympa (et francophone en ce qui concerne certains serveurs) !

Hoje (Finalmente) consegui ir ao Noobai. Veredicto: vale pela localização e precos relativamente acessiveis.
Almocei salmão grelhado (sugestão do dia), que estava bem cozinhado mas com um molho estranho. A ideia de sumo natural de abacaxi com erva principe e muito boa, mas tinha pouco sabor a abacaxi.
Acredito que para brunch ou café ao fim da tarde, sem chuva, a experiência deve ser melhor.

Le Noobaï c’est les mojoto aux fruits des bois et au fruit de la passion, c’est les tapas — humm le pain remplit de fromage fondu, han et la quiche au légume– c’est la sublime vue sur le Rio Tajo –trop romantique-​, c’est l’été, la chaleur et les vacances en amoureux.

We went here for lunch on a Sunday noon in December. I thought it would be a little bit too cold but it was just great! The view is truly amazing and the food tastes very good. The service is a little slow but that’s totally fine when one can enjoy a view like this! ;)

Un bar sympa comme tout, perché sur le toit d’un immeuble qui offre une vue incroyable sur Lisbonne et son Tage. On s’y installe pour un verre ou un repas en sachant que les prix sont magiques pour l’endroit et la vue qui s’offre à nous! Il faut croiser les doigts pour obtenir une place en terrasse par contre! Coup de bol, nous avons eu une table pile en bord de terrasse! De quoi de dorer la pilule tout en sirotant un cocktail des plus rafraîchissant!
Nul besoin de faire un avis de 500 mots pour ce genre d’endroit. Les 5 étoiles veulent tout dire! J’en garderai un excellent souvenir et si Lisbonne venait à me manquer, j’y retournerai: clair et net!

Lisboa tem sete colinas, o que quer dizer que encontrar esplanadas com uma vista bonita não é propriamente uma missão impossível. O que é mais difícil é encontrar um sítio onde nos conquistem pelo estômago e pelo coração, para além dos olhos.
Já gostei mais, muito mais do Noobai. O serviço já foi mais atencioso (fiquei duas horas com os restos mortais do meu batido de morango na mesa), o espaço já foi mais cuidado, as mesas já tiveram um ar mais lavadinho. A carta também não é muito esclarecedora quanto às coisas que têm disponíveis, por isso temos que tirar nabos da púcara caso queiramos comer uma coisa simples, como uma torrada.
Tendo em conta a vista, as características do espaço e o facto de até terem um cantinho para as crianças brincarem, se melhorassem um bocadinho nos outros aspectos, ficaria um espaço digno de 5 estrelas. Espero que melhorem.

The pitcher (jarro) of White sparkling sangria with mint and lime (18.00) is the one to get. We also tried the Rosé sangria with pomegranate and lime — still good but not as tasty as the White sparking sangria.
Make sure to muddle the mint/​lime some more before you pour. The waiter will always pour the first glass, but muddle it up and your second glass will be amazing!
I would just focus on drinks here. We got some food and it was average.
Great view of the bay and the bridge. And cranes and construction but who’s complaining!

The food options were hit or miss for us at Noobai — the Greek salad was great the first time we went, but not as great the second time (fewer vegetables, and the dressing wasn’t as good). The «Energia» brunch option was just okay — the bacon was the best part (but when isn’t it?) The sausage croquette entrée was a pretty big letdown and was basically inedible.
However, the view overlooking the river is beautiful, and they have two terraces — the upper terrace for when weather is good, and a lower terrace which has a retractable awning for when you want to eat outside, but the weather isn’t so great.
The real highlight for us was the sparkling wine sangria with berries (absolutely fantastic), the rose sangria, and the cheesecake. Ask for the sauce on the side with the cheesecake, because the sauce is a little sweet and the cheesecake really doesn’t need it. It’s incredibly fluffy and decadent, and ranks among one of the best desserts we had on our trip across Europe.
I think your best bet is to go here for drinks and dessert, because the rest of the food is pretty hit or miss.
Tl;dr: Skip the rest of the food, get happily buzzed on sangria, and dig into cheesecake here — and you’ll leave a happy camper.

Las vistas son increibles desde su terraza, a mi me relaja muchisimo ir a tomar algo alli! Las tostas muy ricas, buen brunch, y genial el detalle de las mantitas en invierno!

Noobai has been our local while we’ve been staying down the hill off of Fernandes Tomás, and it’s wonderful. The selection of drinks is ample and reasonably priced. The outdoor deck is lovely even in January. Service is (at least) bilingual, efficient but chill. The view can’t be beat. It’s a good scene without being obnoxious about it. Noobai is nice enough to be a destination even if you’re not staying nearby.

Vous n’aurez pas gravi la colline pour rien: le Noobai, haut perché, un peu caché, est une grande terrasse qui offre une vue magique sur le Tage. L’endroit idéal pour un petit déjeuner/​brunch au calme, en prenant le temps de contempler la ville et le fleuve qui se réveillent et s’animent, tout en buvant un bon café.
Des fruits, des légumes, des ingrédients simples, frais, ou comment se faire du bien en se faisant plaisir.
Le service à l’image de cette ville, adorable et attentionné.

Gosto muito, tratando-​se de um dos meus lugares favoritos para frequentar durante os fim-​de-​semana. Além de ser tranquilo, com bom ambiente, tem muito bom atendimento e ainda oferece uma vista privilegiada da cidade com a Ponte 25 de Abril ao fundo.
A primeira vez que fui a este espaço encontrei um grupo de amigos que se ocupavam a pintar aguarelas dada a inspiração oferecida pelo horizonte. Ficamos longas horas no terraço do Noobai. Entre pintura, boa conversa e frescas bebidas as horas foram passando e ninguém parecia estar melhor noutro lado qualquer. A fotografia que inseri foi tirada nesse dia memorável. Sempre que vou ao Chiado lembro-​me de passar no Noobai. E sempre que recebo amigos em Lisboa faço questão de os encaminhar a conhecer o Noobai porque acho que este café representa um dos melhores cartões de visita que Lisboa tem para oferecer.

Fast noch schöner ist die entspannte Atmosphäre, chilige Elektro-​Musik, der freundliche Service und das leckere Essen (hier gibt es frische Säfte, Salate und Sandwichs).
Hier kann man wirklich stundenlang wahlweise in Sonne oder Schatten sitzen, lesen oder Free WiFi nutzen und wirklich mal die Seele baumeln lassen.

É aqui que vou para admirar a maravilhosa vista sobre Lisboa e o rio Tejo. Um café-​restaurante que nos faz desfrutar o momento.
A ementa é baseada em comida saudável e deliciosa, como sopas, sandes mas também pratos mais compostos. A escolha é muita, e fico quase sempre sem saber o que escolher, visto que tem tudo um aspeto fabuloso. A tranche de salmão com salada e batata, bruschettas de queijo de cabra gratinadas com mel e nozes, espetadas tandoori com couscous e legumes, a massa thai com gambas, pratos vegetarianos, entre muitos muitos outros. Sou sempre surpreendida com as maiores misturas de sabores e texturas, e nunca tive uma única queixa.
Para a sobremesa adoro a mousse de chocolate com gelado de limão e gengibre, e para beber, um dos deliciosos sumos naturais que variam por dia.
Por vezes o espaço está bastante movimentado, e aí o tempo de espera aumenta. Se estivesse noutro sitio talvez me incomodasse, mas com esta vista deslumbrante, o tempo passa num instante.
É também aqui que vou para beber um café com amigos e meter a conversa em dia.
A decoração do espaço é baseado num estilo vintage e acolhedor, havendo também um espaço para as crianças brincarem.

Localizado no Adamastor, para mim tem uma das vistas mais bonitas sobre a capital — é um decrescendo de telhados em direção ao rio Tejo. Um café simpático, com uma esplanada não muito grande, mas acolhedora. Já lá fui algumas vezes, ao almoço e ao jantar, ou simplesmente para beber um café a meio da tarde — independentemente da luminosidade, o espaço vive bem a todas as horas do dia. A ementa constitui-​se à base de refeições leves; e, de cada vez, opto sempre por uma salada e um bom vinho a copo. Sou sempre bem recebida — e o staff está habituado a aconselhar-​me no que às sugestões gastronómicas diz respeito. Uma das coisas que prezo bastante é o facto haver um canto destinado a crianças, onde elas podem brincar livremente, sempre debaixo da alçada dos pais. O Noobai, de tão bom que é, costuma estar cheio — nem sempre há mesas disponíveis. Mas também não há hora certa de chegar. A vista, essa, vale sempre a pena.

A sua localização pode intimidar os menos destemidos mas é um dos meus lugares de eleição em Lisboa para o pôr-​do-​sol. Desde uma das esplanadas, inferior ou superior, temos uma vista incrível sobre o rio e a cidade de Lisboa. Infelizmente este é mesmo o ponto mais forte deste lugar uma vez que não fiquei impressionada nem com o serviço nem com a qualidade das refeições servidas.

O Noobai, junto ao Miradouro de Santa Catarina, também chamado de Miradouro do Adamastor, é um dos restaurantes-​esplanadas mais conhecidos de Lisboa. Com uma vista espectacular, aos fins-​de-​semana com bom tempo poderá ser um pouco difícil conseguir lugar para sentar. A esplanada fica ao fundo de umas escadas, um pouco escondidas pelas obras que estão a ser feitas na zona do miradouro. O Noobai é frequentado tanto por turistas como por locais, atraindo um público predominantemente jovem, mas variado ao longo das diversas horas do dia. Serve refeições, petiscos e cocktails, sendo adequado tanto para um almoço a relaxar com a vista, para um café ou um cocktail ao pôr-​do-​sol. Caso o tempo não esteja tão bom, têm também uma sala com uma decoração original, com alguns objectos curiosos, com algumas mesas de onde se consegue ainda apreciar a vista.

Sem dúvida uma das melhores vistas sobre lisboa… A melhor fica mais para os lados do castelo, mas falando em concreto do Noobai, este espaço já foi designado de culto. Por aqui actores, cantores e escritores passam diversas vezes. Adoro beber estas limonadas fabulosas e o mojito também. Na verdade qualquer bebida ou qualquer prato aqui é saboreado com gosto. Um Must Go!

A melhor coisa do Noobai é certamente a vista, mas se apenas pela vista se ficasse qualquer pessoa poderia sentar-​se mesmo ao lado no miradouro de santa catarina onde a vista é praticamente a mesma. A questão é que o Noobai é tão mais do que isso!
Seja para um almoço Light, um lanche calmo, um copo ao entardecer ou brunch ao fim-​de-​semana, as opções são imensas! Convém estar atento na página de facebook onde diariamente os pratos do dia vão sendo anunciados. Pessoalmente gosto do copo ao fim-​do-​dia, da boa disposição e calma que se sente por lá.

Sim, sou um fã, mas só quando quero mostrar a cidade a alguém. O Noobai tem uma das melhores esplanadas sobre Lisboa, com tudo a que se tem direito: os telhados sobrepostos em barro encarnado, o rio a servir de remate e a ponte de enfeite, ao fundo. Ainda para mais está inserido num dos miradouros mas bonitos de Lisboa, ainda agora renovado, o Jardim do Adamastor.
Está divido em três partes, um primeiro terraço à entrada, normalmente só aberto em dias de grande afluxo e ao almoço, um segundo terraço após umas escadas que deviam ser proibidas por lei de tão íngremes, e virada para esse terraço uma sala bem decorada, a atirar para o étnico, onde estão algumas mesas na penumbra e o balcão.
A comida tentam-​na inovadora, com tostas, bruschetas, saladas e afins, de inspiração portuguesa e étnica, numa fusão para um almoço leve de verão com vinho branco. E depois há os preços e a razão porque hoje em dia só bebo uma coca-​cola zero e bebo-​a muito devagarinho e com muito gelo, não me vá apetecer outra. Tragam-​se os turistas preferidos, os encontros mais íntimos, os pais a visitar a cidade, só se espera é que sejam eles a pagar.

Ce bar est extra. Avec une vue sur la ville et le Tage, c est un endroit parfait pour un apéro à l’heure du coucher de soleil. L’équipe est très sympa et le dîner excellent (bacalhau notamment).

Ce bar est situé juste en contre-​bas du miradouro ‘Santa Catarina’, vous descendez un petit escalier et la terrasse avec vue sur Lisbonne, le Tage et le pont du 25 abril apparait.
Si la terrasse est blindée, c’est à dire dés qu’il fait beau, vous pouvez vous rabattre sur une petite salle avec sa déco vintage, quelques bons fauteuils, quelques livres/​revues.
La population est assez mixte mais quand même plutôt jeune et vaguement branchée.
La carte est assez complète on peut manger quelques tapas ou un peu plus … j’ai essayé leur vins, mieux vaut rester sur LEUR spécialité, les caipiroskas … excellentes!
Bön rapport qualité/​prix … Très bon bar pour passer une fin d’après-midi décontract’ en regardant le soleil se coucher sur la ville.
