Barreirinha Bar Café

We headed to BBC as we’d spied its high rating on Unilocal.
It was a little after peak lunch time and the restaurant wasn’t quite full. We sat down and it was round about ten minutes before we received a menu and a hello. There seemed to be a lot of camaraderie between staff and they obviously get on well. However, it did seem like they were a little distracted and service wasn’t the most attentive.
Lunch: the vegetarian burger with mozzarella and pesto. It came in a burger bun and with fries. The burger itself had some really nice spices through it. The texture wasn’t so good and the bun and burger, unfortunately, fell apart. Sadly, there was no trace of pesto. Still, the burger was filling and a perfectly adequate lunch. The fries, in particular, were deliciously seasoned.
The fresh ginger, mint and honey tea was lovely. — Nice to see the use of fresh herbs. However, there was no trace of honey. There was sugar on the side but I would have preferred the natural sweetness of the honey.
BBC made for a pleasant lunch stop but the service was a little lacking this time round. Still, prices are cheap and the portions are generous, making it still very much worth a visit.

Adorei o sítio. Para além de possuir vistas espectaculares e panorâmicas, estando localiZado junto ao mar, o serviço é excelente.

A great experience in this amazing bar where I had breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service was perfect, food excellent (great burgers) and the view on the ocean is magic!

Amazing terrace with a fantastic ocean view. Weekends they have a DJ and candles all over. You can have small meals, wine, coffee. Mingle with the locals or tourists. Cool view to the harbor. Located next to a beautiful church, (igreja do Socorro).
