I simply love this place because the food is splendid with the authentic taste of the Portuguese countryside! My family has been coming here for years and the quality of the food is always great. They have traditional Portuguese food that is hearty, the portions are big and the prices are great! The bacalhau com natas and the vitela no forno are to die for. The rojões have a great traditional taste, they still serve real french fries! The ingredients are always fresh and the dishes seasoned perfectly. The salad can be heavy on the oil. The daily specials can come in the daily menu which is a cheap lunch option that usually includes a drink and coffee. I never leave without my home-made chocolate mousse, my sister is a fan of the natas do céu, but really you can’t go wrong with any of their home made desserts. This place is a family owned restaurant and the staff is always very friendly, the place is clean and pleasant. The dinning room is big so it can accommodate big parties and there is rarely a wait. When you come in, you have to pass the café and the kitchen to get to the dinning area which feels a little strange but actually it is a great way to see how clean their kitchen is!
