[ Visited in December, 2010 ] Siso’s BBQ, a «pollo BBQ» restaurant in Yabucoa, was a great place to have Puerto Rican-style«BBQ» chicken. Actually, it’s cooked more in a rotisserie style(with a slight glaze cooked into the skin of the chicken), but probably 20-times better than any other rotisserie you’ve ever had. I’ve had this before in Chicago where there is a large Puerto Rican population, and now appreciate and understand pollo BBQ’s roots. Back to Siso’s…you’ll be driving on your way out of Yabucoa heading west on PR-53(about .75km west of PR-901) and the establishment is on your right(on the north side of the street). There’s ample parking out front and plenty of dining space. Accompaniments are plentiful, including tostones, rice and beans, etc. A half-chicken meal will be more than enough to crush the heartiest-of-appetites, and you’ll appreciate the sink for washing your hands afterward(if you haven’t licked them completely clean). All in all, if you’re on the island and in the area, don’t miss Siso’s!
