Wow was this food great! My wife and I had the calamari with tamarind sauce, the spicy crab cabbage salad and also the churrascaro with Pico de Gallo and aroz con gondulas. We both are extremely judgemental when it comes to food and this place really wowed us. To top it off. The service was great. Thank you Andrea. We also got to sit at a table on the beach with our shoes off. Great experience! Highly recommend!

If you are in Puerto Rico, its worth a trip to San Juan for dinner at Pamelas. This hidden gem is right on the beach. The beach is a couple hundred yards deep at this point so you are away from the kids and dogs and surfers hidden under some palm trees — with an ocean front view. The restaurant faces North so at dinner you get to see the sun set over the hotels if you take a beach front seat. Dinner was just as good. I had snapper topped with crab. It was placed on top of a bean and mashed root vegetable combo. She had a pesto risotto. Both were fabulous. The overall experience was tasty, romantic, and worth talking about. Billy was our server. He has been there for 15 years. If you go, make sure he helps you. He is the best. There was another lady there helping too.(I did not catch her name) but she was also helpful offering to get us a cab and sharing information during our pre dinner drink at the bar inside.

Great little place on the beach. A 10 minute cab ride from our hotel in condado. Calamari was delicious!

We are staying at the property attached to the restaurant(Numero Uno Guesthouse) so we’ve been enjoying lunch on the beach for the past few days. Today we had the Chicken Jalepeño sandwich… it was dee-lish! The bread was warm and crispy, the chicken nice and tender… perfection! The piña coladas are always really good too! Service is top notch & fast.

We went here to celebrate my 50th birthday! There was 11 of us and we ALL enjoyed our meal. The calamari was delish! Most of ordered the jerk salmon and others ordered the surf n turf. Very delicious! Look forward to coming back again!

A friend recommended Pamela’s and we were not disappointed. We ate outside, looking at the ocean, with our feet in the soft sand. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. We started with tiny lamb chops — they were so delicious that I could have ordered them as an entrée. Next we had the blacked scallops and plantain crusted chicken manchego. Excellent. Will definitely return on our next trip.

Pamela’s is a guest house in a gated community on Ocean Park beach which is doing creative things with food, but there are a few drawbacks. First, there really isn’t any parking near the place, though no one seems to obey the local no parking signs. It’s also surrounded by abandoned homes, making one wonder about walking in the area. Also the service was a little slow. We had to remind the waiter for our drinks, even after 10 – 15 minutes of waiting patiently. However, for big pluses, I had a delicious salmon, and my wife loved the plantain crusted fried chicken breast. We were with another couple who loved their tuna, rare but heated just right and a seafood fricasee(?) appetizer which was great and delicious blackened scallops. Also we ate outside on the beach and the atmosphere was great! Overall food and ambiance were worth five stars but everything else three, so I gave it a four combined.

Ordered the salmon and scallop entres, they weren’t great, just OK. Service was so slow even tho there was barely any customers. They forgot my drink order, and said sides were complimentary in the menu but they charged us for it. Didn’t have time to wait around for another 20 minutes so just left. And fyi 15% tip was included automatically.

Still WONDERFUL! Third visit back to this gorgeous beach side location(love putting feet in sand under table!) and the quality of the experience was exceptional. Our waitress was extremely sweet and attentive — gave very good descriptions of the dishes and recommendations. We began with the shrimp appetizer and it arrived piping hot with a delicious curry sauce and just the right amount of crunch on the breeding. Our party of five all enjoyed delicious entrees(including one vegetarian for whom they prepared a beautiful salad with fruit and nuts) from scallops to snapper cooked to perfection with a yummy crab sauce which our picky teenage son loved! Deserts were also not to be missed with the bread pudding and fried cheesecake not to be missed. The ice cream with Carmel is divine! Prices were reasonable and only slightly more than the unremarkable dinner we had at Brio(a chain restaurant) the night before. We hope to come back soon — lovely night on the beach.

Such a treat to be able to an amazing dinner literally right on the sand under a beautiful rainbow. Just perfect. The food was great. The only complaint that I have is that the virgin piña coladas are pretty watered down.

Great selection at the full bar, sitting at the table right in the sand hearing the surf and having delicious dinner is very high in my personal favorites…

I ate quite an absurd amount of food at this restaurant. We got three dishes and appetizers and tried everything. I wasn’t a fan of the calamari, but the two people I was with loved it. There was something about the sauce that didn’t set well with me. We ordered one of the salads that had croutons made of fried cheese. Those croutons and the dressing were quite tasty. The ceviche was definitely mediocre. In fact. The rice sort of tasted like the sea. The bread crumb fried chicken was okay, but super crunchy in a bad way. The best thing was the salmon which was phenomenal. Otherwise, this place has a nice view and good service, but that’s about it. There are MUCH better restaurants in Ocean Park area.

My family showed up there at three pm on Thanksgiving, and they told us they were closing for the day, which we kind of expected. But as we were walking away, they caught us and told us they’d be happy to serve us. So we got to spend our Thanksgiving with our toes in the sand, watching the waves, drinking wonderful sangria. The meal was pretty good too, although I wasn’t blown away. I’m hesitant to criticize, because they were so accommodating, but I did think that the food was overpriced. I got the $ 48 paella, which I was told was huge, but it ended up being a rather small serving filled with mussel-less mussel shells. Oh well, I guess you pay for location, right?

Excellent food and environment! We really enjoyed it. Even though the staff was short so things were a little slow, but it was worth waiting. Everybody was nice there, had a good time!

November 21 and there’s a nice warm breeze on the beach, a dog next to us and fantastic food. The food here is consistently good as is the service. Stop bye every chance you get.

Place: beach décor, clean, romantic. * Music: nice and quiet. * Services: on time very attentive. * Drinks: strong, pricy. * Atmosphere: beach time, couples, romantic * Food: good, small portions. * Overall: A nice restaurant in front of the beach, with some romantic music plus the sound of the wave. I personally found this place overrated and expensive. Food taste good drinks just regular.

The place was very accommodating since there were 30 of us there!!! It was like a semi party bc we basically had the restaurant all to ourselves the first hr. I feel sorry for other patrons that were dining there bc most of us were loud and somewhat drunk. However, there is an option to dine outside on beach when it’s not raining. The food wasn’t amazing, I had the pork chop with mofongo. The pork chop was kinda dry and salty. However, their appetizers were amazing. If you were to go here, just order a bunch of apps. Our food took forever to come, maybe due to the fact we had such a large party? I wouldn’t come here for their entrée(maybe i ordered the wrong dish), but i would come back for their apps with the option of dining on the beach. The staff was pretty friendly and that’s always a plus.

This review has to do strictly with service and overall experience; we didn’t order any food. With that said, WOOHOO! ASGOODASITGETS. We wanted to enjoy a beach day during our trip to PR, and thanks to the fine folks at Pamela’s, we did just that. We started with a drink at the bar just as the place was opening at 12:00 p.m. on a Wednesday(vacation, y’all); during the course of our drink we learned that we could purchase a small bucket of cold Medallas on ice($ 2 a piece!), and lounge on the beach in a rented reclining chair($ 6 each) under a rented umbrella($ 5), which we did for several hours. It was a super windy day, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience — especially because of the fact that the service was so spectacular(shout out to Ronnie). The beach felt just like a little white sand home away from home. I would go back in a heartbeat. In fact, if the service at the little guesthouse attached to Pamela’s is anything like we received, then it is well worth staying there — plus, the proximity to the beach can’t be beat. Truly a spectacular experience. I wish I was there right now.

Pamelas is located in the Hotel Numero Uno, the dining area spills out into the beach, where you can eat with your feet in the sand. I would recommend the eggs Benedict, cerviche, for dinner the signature dish, Pamelas Seafood Paia, which enough to share! The plantain soup was amazing! Service was excellent! The inside dining room has Caribbean charm.

I really really can’t rate less than 5stars! First of all, we were 3 chicks wanted to rest and enjoy the sun for 3 days. We had an apartment near the beach(15 minutes from Pamela’s) and we were sooo happy that we found this place. Why? 1. We could rent chairs $ 6, umbrella $ 10 /day /pcs 2. They serve drinks on the beach and also you can leave the tab open until you leave 3. They have a restaurant with good food. So it wasn’t a must for us to pack everything from the beach and have lunch… We just stood under the palm trees at a table and enjoyed our meal :) 4. The staff it’s really nice and helpful 5. They have a shower and restroom for guests 6. Free wifi The only thing missing was music :) but I guess they are not allowed to …
