Wow! Amazing vegetarian quesadillas, tacos, and burritos in that order. Their hot sauce is rich as well. Service is high quality and prices are great. Went here two days in a row on our trip to PR. We plan on going tomorrow as well.

We decided to come here despite some of the reviews I read on here. It is true that this place is a permanently placed food truck and a bit on the pricey side. They have a shaded seating area, to protect patrons from the sun. I enjoyed my eating experience here. The man who took our orders was partially friendly, he did answer our questions about the different meals. It was our server that added an extra star for this review. He was funny & attentive. He even gave us free water bottles. I ordered 2 empanadas & one fish taco. The empanadas where like most of the empanadas that I have tried in Puerto Rico, still yummy. But the fish taco was so tasty and tasted more fresh than the fish taco I had at another restaurant the previous night. It even tasted good after a few hours. I would recommend this place just be aware that this will more pricier than your average food truck.

YUMMY! Excellent service, excellent food, excellent atmosphere! We went here on the way back to the hotel from Old San Juan. I got the taco Tripleta and it was AMAZING. It’s two very stuffed tacos full of different meats and yumminess. Bottom line. Four people(two were men) are here for 35 $.(With beer and a few shots:). And it was so good that we will definitely be making a trip back before leaving the island.

Cool, eclectic little spot with awesome tacos and great service. The tacos de tripleta were as good as any tacos I’ve had, I’d highly recommend them. Also, they had live music on Friday night with a guy playing the guitar who added a lot to the ambiance in the best way!

Mmmm… the fish tacos. We got the Baja fish tacos for 6.99, husband got chicken burrito and said it was good. The hot sauce is great! We got 2 margaritas that were really tasty and I think $ 5. So glad I found this place on Unilocal.A find!

Service was great. The food was delicious and plenty for the price(we eat a lot and still were full). We had both types of empanadilla, both were good but we highly recommend the picadillo Azteca. Carnita burrito was amazing but the ceviche tacos were the best.

El Vagon is a food truck anchored in a small fenced area with a few tables. You order at the truck and are given a number sign that will later be used by a server to find you and deliver your order. The server will never be seen again. Portions are generous, but taste is unimpressive. The Mexican taste is just not there. If you ask for a salsa picante you will get a house concoction that you may regret tasting. My burrito was enormous and filling but totally unmemorable. My companion ordered the fish tacos which turned out to be made with breaded fish sticks. Not a bad place as long as you keep reminding yourself that it is a food truck.

FYI for most people from the continental States, food trucks are not allowed to move, yeah its dumb, so this really is just another glorified ‘food truck’, which doesn’t take away from the food, but is another attempt at replicating the fad. This is a place to grab relatively cheap Tex-mex and booze. By most mainland US standards its cheap, but for this kind of quality you could find better. Ive tried several dishes on the menu and its subpar at best. If your looking for something to eat with a michelada or margarita(or several) this is your place. If you want really good food, look somewhere else. I havent tried the fish tacos, but then again fish tacos are a pretty uninteresting fad on the island. Ambiance its outdoors which i always like, but usually full, there is a huge lunch crowd during the week in Santurce. FYI its Santurce because Condando is a part of Santurce. TL;DR need to eat something texmexy w/margarita thats cheaper than Chillis, this is your place. En español Si quieres comida texmex, por que de mexicana no tiene, acompañado de algun refrigerio alcoholizado, este es su lugar. Similar a la Frontera, pero nada como comida mexicana de verdad. Ambiente al aire libre lo hace mejor.

My 1st time to Puerto Rico and this was on of our stops and I have to say it is well worth the trip. I decided to have the ceviche tacos and what can I say other than the best ever. The fish was so light and airy and the citrus was so full of flavor. My husband had the surf and turf tacos which was one fried fish taco and one beef taco and they both were equally as good. The flavors are amazing. My daughter decided to with the Los Nachos machos with churrasco and she loved them. She said that they were some of the best nachos she has ever had. So if you are not a local and looking for some good eats this a place to hit up. They also have a bar if u want to grab a drink.

The atmosphere was great and very close to the art museum. El Vagon has great food and is reasonably priced. We order at a food truck and then sat down in their covered patio area. I had the fish tacos and the mini nachos. They are a little slow on their drink service, but their overall good quality makes up for it. I would highly recommend this food truck when you’re in the area!

A «food truck» look but it is a permanent location. Nice place to hang out and have some beers and tacos. A scanty menu with cheap prices. Nachos are a good choice. Baja fish tacos over breaded and greasy. If you get to find parking you are lucked. You’ll see young adults after business hours.

Amazing fish tacos and extremely fast service. Great environment & live music on a Friday night. Seems like a popular spot for locals(we were the only foreigners there) so definitely worth a try if you want to experience the local flavor!

If you want a break from all the fancy, touristy, and over priced joints, This is the place for you. Very home-y atmosphere. It’s basically a food truck with an outdoor seating area and a bar attached. You order at the window, get a number, and wait for them to bring your order out to you. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. We had the SURFANDTURFTACOS which consists of one fish taco and one steak taco. bigger size than I thought they were going to be. Good amount of fish and steak in the tacos. 4 stars*** MMMPANADILLAS– basically and empanada. Person who took our order recommended the carnitas. Crispy and flaky crust and good flavorful meat. 4 stars*** LOSMACHOSNACHOS– great portion of nachos. Comes with queso, pico de gallo, sour cream, refrito, guacamole, and your choice of meat. We went with steak. Very good and flavorful! 4 ½ stars*** ONEHARDSHELLCARNITASTACO and a SOFTSHELLPOLLOTACO– expected them to be small but they were pretty huge. Packed with meat. 4 stars*** Tip– Watch out while you’re sitting outside you WILL get eaten alive by mosquitos so don’t forget to spray those legs and arms. Parking is on the street mostly. There’s a parking lot close by but belongs to a different plaza.

damn right. this is THE place to go! before heading to puerto rico… i made a list of possible places to eat… this was at the top of the list due to reviews, price point and atmosphere… the only negative was that it was the farthest from our hotel(not really a negative). hubby and i ventured out and walked(thank goodness our phones work for free here… because we definitely needed siri to help us!). the walk was lovely! we walked along the water(bay)… love love love the atmosphere! it’s a permanent fixture… food truck is where the food is ordered & cooked. there is also an old storage container converted into a bar… tons of tables. food was amazing!!! it was so good we returned for dinner the same day! on our lunch visit we tried one of the pork empanadillas and one beef empanadilla… both amazing but beef won hands down. We also got an order of fish tacos… so yum! i’m from San Diego and am quite picky about what makes a good fish taco… and this one was good! dinner visit…2 others came with us too… oh and we got a Stone beer for $ 2! wow! can’t do that at Stone Brewery! we again got the beef empanadilla, but also sprung for an order of nachos and an order of ceviche tacos… OMGAMAZING! it was all so good!!! one friend got an order of tacos that had 3 different meats mixed together… this was probably the 2nd best thing we ate here… so yes… do come here… you will be happy!

Great fish tacos, fast service and an extremely chill ambiance. A lot of locals come here for their lunch breaks, you tend to see many office employees. Great staff, good customer service and I must mention that the house sangria is a MUST try! Very sweet and refreshing :) The owner is also very friendly and even helps deliver the food during rush hours.

I always order the Salmon tacos but the Baja Fish ones are amazing too. The atmosphere in the place is sooo perfect for a refreshing afternoon with a nice beer on hand. Will keep coming back! Oh, all the tacos come with a small amount of nachos and beans. Yummy.

We walked from Condado to the Plaza de Mercado de Santurce looking for a good spot for Sunday brunch. Little did we know, most of the stores and restaurants are closed at Sunday noon. Either everyone is at Mass or sleeping off their Saturday night hangovers. We ended up walking to El Vagon since Mexican tacos in Puerto Rico, why not? These had to be the freshest, tastiest tacos I’ve had in a long time, and from a food truck! I’d say foodie trucks. One truck for tacos, one for the bar. I doubt these trucks go anywhere. It’s nice they had shaded tables too. The Baja fish tacos were awesome. Most of my friends know I am on a mission to find the real Baja fish tacos of my fading college memories to Baja California. These came pretty darn close, and not to be missed. All they needed were a bit more fish, and for it to be tuna or ahi. Oh well, but check out my taco photo, one of my fav food memory pics of the trip! The nachos were tasty, it was a relaxing time outdoors, telenovelas were on TV and we ended up having a much better brunch than we thought we would. Much cheaper too. The only downer was the overuse of styrofoam containers for everything. For a foodie truck pushing eco-friendly, fresh food, this was a bit of a disappointment. It could easily use recycled paper as most everyone just eats right on the spot.
