We stumbled across this adorable place that was listed as «hot and new». This is our first time here in PR and being of Italian descent, I was surprised to see a lot of Italian named places here and wasn’t sure how authentic they would be. This place is legit! The owner Fabio is a true chef originally from Milan and his adorable wife is Puerto Rican. They have a unique concept of an Italian-Puerto Rican infusion. It was a perfect place to stop for happy hour which consisted of Spritz Mojitos, Negronis and a properly prepared italian meat & cheese plate. Spritz’ are one of my favorite Italian drinks and so I was excited to see this unique twist on a classic. They even shared the recipe and showed me how to make it when I asked. The owners are so hospitable and this place is a true gem!

Stopped in for a drink on a whim and was blown away. Owners were incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the area. Definitely get a mojito spritz, but try a standard mojito as well, best I’ve had in the area!

Happy hour is a great price for the area & the location is perfect! The service is excellent– the owner and his partner are definitely some of the nicest people we have ever met in PR. We tried the special ‘Italian’ mojito which was very good(& refreshing). I would highly recommend stopping here and having a drink at one of their outdoor tables! Plus a picture opportunity at the Guinness book of world records smallest apartment(as of 2011) is right next store.

Cool little place with an awesome view! My wife and I stopped in for a drink which turned into multiple drinks and an appetizer. The Spritz drinks were refreshing and the charcuterie plate provided us a generous portion of meats and cheeses imported from Italy. If this place were in our hometown of Philadelphia we’d end up being regulars for sure!

New restaurant in a location at end of the street with no car traffic. The owners are a really sweet couple who clearly love where they are and what they do. The chef/owner is from Milan and keeps a simple Italian menu. We just stopped in for some wine and a panini but would definitely come back.

Popped into this new Italian restaurant while waiting for a table @ nearby Verde Mesa. The husband/wife owners are super nice. Fabio is Italian & his wife Jeslene is Puerto Rican. The ambiance is nice & the location is perfect on a cobblestone street with outside seating after dark. Only a few weeks old, this place is just finding it’s feet, but definitely worth a stop.

Attention Unilocalers! Hot. New. Business. If I lived here I would be a regular. I don’t know if I can chalk this lucky find up to my excellent food intuition, but this place is EXACTLY what we were hoping for during our first trip to Old San Juan. My fiancé and I had been in Puerto Rico for about 5 days. We told ourselves while we are here we were only going to eat authentic PR cuisine… But by day three of only mofongo, tostones and plantains fried in every which way possibly known to man I threw in the towel. Don’t get me wrong it’s mouthwatering stuff, but I missed fresh food. Enter The Spritz Club or Club Spritz(still not 100% sure). We were taking our time getting lost in the winding streets of Old San Juan looking for the perfect place to eat. The only prerequisite was that it couldn’t be Puerto Rican. We stumbled over many an interesting bistro… but it was initially the location the sold us on The Spritz. On one of the last cobble stone roads painted with string lights overlooking the ocean we saw one table left outside. The weather was almost poetic and there was a chalkboard sign out front listing the specials, all I remember remember seeing was the Porcini Mushroom and Truffle Risotto. We took our seats. Turns out after talking to the owners, they’ve only been open 15 days! They just moved here from Florida. The husband is from Italy and the wife from PR. Everything is fresh, everything is authentic. I asked him if his risotto was cooked with cream and he said no, because real risotto is not cooked with cream. Sold. We started with the Priscuitto and Cantelope with grilled bread, shared the Risotto special and the Nutella Coconut dessert. As I said before, if I lived in PR I would certainly be a regular here. Not only is the food outstanding, the owners are so nice — the kind of people that immediately make you feel like you’re at family’s house. Yes yes, see you next time Spritz! Saluti!
