I like the idea of visiting places like this. There’s another restaurant serving similar food and is much cleaner and nicer, yet all the locals come here. The people that work there with the exception of the cashier barely speaks any English. This is my kind of place. The boy and I ordered 2 jamon, queso y huevos sandwiches and 2 coffees. The total was $ 10.17. I can really get used to this! The sandwiches were hot and messy. The bread was perfectly toasted with slices of ham, cheese, fried eggs and some kind of sauce between them. Coffee were lattes and very hot, which I love. Not the best we’ve had, but if this is what the locals eat, I’m down with that. The mallorca in the bake case looked delicious, but we didn’t want to crash hard on our hike in El Yunque so didn’t try it. Parking’s not the easiest on this street as there’s a lot of traffic going to El Yunque and large areas of the road are marked«no parking.» It was early enough that we parked in the parking lot next to the restaurant, but I’m not sure if the lot’s for another business. No one cared that we parked there.
