Awesome view with great outdoor seating. The food is Puerto rican and Spanish. The tapas are really good! Appropriate for a romantic date. You can also ask for the fresh catch of the day(displayed at the entrance). The service can sometimes be a bit slow and the price a bit overpriced but the atmosphere and view are worth the wait. Similar restaurants near by are rare.

We came with four small children and four adults. They recommended not to order separate plates for the kids as it would be too much too eat. We appreciated that. They still didn’t eat everything, there was plenty. The kids were messy and the staff was very helpful and polite. The food was great and seasoned just right. The bathrooms were clean and there’s a great view of the ocean and we watched the surfers. We’ve been to a lot of places on the island and this ranks on top.

The only things that were impressive were the view(it literally sits on the beach), the service, and the restaurant cat«Dracula». The food was nothing impressive for me, but my husband loved his mofongo dish. Not a place I’d choose to go back to, but my husband would.

This two star go for the ocean view and the freshness of the seafood. The food is good(not amazing). Service needs a lot of improvement. It’s very pricy for the type of which can be found in other places with excellent customer attention. Constantly reminding the waitress for services with a empty restaurant.

We stopped here after a day at the beach in the early evening. Was incredibly busy with locals but landed a table outside. Our waitress checked in on us a lot which was nice, however, she only spoke Spanish but was able to converse with a few people in our group who also speak Spanish. It did seem a little pricey but the general flavor was good and the overall restaurant experience had a lovely ambiance outside. I recommend using OpenTable to make a reservation if you plan on coming here.

Excellent food! Amazing view! Unfortunately slow service. If you are not in a rush, this is the place to go. Great seafood in a beautiful location.

HORRIBLE experience and WORST customer service from the manager. The food in the sampler appetizers did not taste fresh at all and it took 2HOURS for lunch to be served and even then they missed or forgot 2 dishes. After we paid, I went to talk to the manager or cashier, whoever it was collecting checks and mentioned the lenghty wait. The staff member, instead of apologizing said I was wrong and that the kitchen was working great and it took at most 1 hour. I asked him to check our order and the time, pointing to our $ 277 lunch check. He brushed me off and turned away from me to talk to someone else. HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. If you have a customer complaining, why is it so hard to say«So sorry, how can I make it better?» The location ISGOOD and the menu has many good alternatives, however there are many smaller restaurants exactly in the same shoreline

I checked out the reviews before trying out this awesome restaurant. When given a chance some people are just ready to talk badly, they are truly unjust. The food is just outstanding. Came out twice with my lady friend she lives in Hatillo I drove out from Aguadilla. The drive was worth it. The staff is fluent in English, ever so friendly. We had shared a huge Lobster, fresh catch of the day. I can’t say enough nice things to say about this place. Fenomenal. Unos de los mejores locales en la isla. Una comida tan rica no tiene precio. Food this great doesn’t have price. I will have to make it my casual spot when I return. Muchas gracias. We ate both times on a Tuesday and got there after 6pm get ready for an awesome sunset.

Beautiful views but food is overpriced. Our server was socially awkward and just ok. Again the views are fantastic but maybe just go for an app and a drink.

Food was good, not great. Grilled pulpo was burned and I couldn’t eat it. Service is extremely slow. This was my 2nd time here and probably won’t come back. Waited over an hour and half for food. The scenery is lovely but the food average. My mother makes better food for less! The food was on the bland side. The only good thing was spends time with my family.

Outstanding Fresh Fish — Blackened Mahi Mahi is the best if I have ever had. Great service and great venue by the sea. Not to pricey, very much the local flavors!

Since we have been to this place many times, we suggested it to friends that live in San Juan as a halfway meeting place while we are visiting our family in Aguadilla. When making the reservation we wanted to view the menu and found that we could not read it because it was blurry. Our friends and family enjoyed their meal and view thoroughly. The grilled octopus and the black rice(although not on the menu) was my favorite. We agree the calamari was a bit chewy. The portions for the price were a bit small compared to the past. Our friends from San Juan enjoyed the experience and said they would eat there again.

My fiancé and I had the opportunity to dine at this gorgeous oceanside restaurant and loved everything about it. Normally an hour drive from San Juan, we caught a short helicopter ride from Vertical Solutions. The owner, Luis, greeted us as though we were family. Obviously we chose to sit outside and enjoy the view with delicious drinks. We were able to take advantage of the daily catch, red snapper, along with tostones as a side dish. Both were cooked to perfection. We both highly recommend this restaurant. It’s worth the drive for the fine dining experience and will definitely be back when we return to Puerto Rico.

Our guide at the observatory suggested this place(are they getting kickbacks?) Overall overpriced based on food. Great views, and a fun«show» as a gigantic rock lobster was paraded around the tables, but food wise? Meh. Seafood paiaya was just bland and not as fresh as one might expect on an island. Hefty price as well. Seemed like a tourist trap. «Fancy dining»

So glad I found Salitre Meson! This place was recommended to us by one of the tour guides on our BioBay Kayaking tour. Since this place is in Arecibo, we stopped by after our visit to Arecibo Observatory. This restaurant is fairly easy to find, right along the beach with gorgeous views, and great seafood. When we were wondering about all those fresh seafood options, the waiters and waitresses were really kind to bring us samples of their dishes and fish for us to try before we ended up making out food choices. We had the octopus skewers first which were really well done and had a bit of an tangy taste to it. I had the salmon with pumpkin and sweet potato, which turned out to be a really delicious combination and one I would like to try myself at home also since it was so good! My boyfriend had the squid ink paella. It comes out as a dark blue/black rice with lots of seafood mixed in. It didn’t have the traditional paella flavor, but still quite flavorful, filling, and delicious. We sat inside for our meal because it was really hot outside, but they have an outside area that looked really lovely. Afterwards, we took a nice walk along the beach just out their back door.

La vista al mar esta increíble y el servicio es bueno. La comida podría estar mejor por el precio.

Gemma — our guide at Aericibo Observatory suggested this place. She mentioned its a cute place by the beach many Puerto Ricans frequent. It was a short detour from my hotel at Aguadilla. Once I reached the parking, we wondered why we even bothered driving all the way. But man. I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I walked in. The beach is right off the restaurant. It surely was a romantic place as Gemma mentioned and most of the Puerto Ricans we met at Rio Camuy caverns were here. After placing an order of mojito and a passion fruit cocktail, my wife and I strolled on the beach for sometime. The server was friendly and extremly helpful. I wanted to try authentic Puerto Rican food and her suggestions were spot on. I tried the local river fish — Celti, an extremely tiny fish. The Creole sauce was fesh and gave an amazing mix of flavors with the carribean mash. If you do not want too much salt probably this is not what you want to order. Dried shark is what id say its closest to in taste. My wife had the mofongo with vegetable Creole sauce and she loved it. This place is a good stop for anyone visiting Aericibo lighthouse or observatory.

Getting lost in PR has its perks. Because we stumbled upon an amazing place like this. When I saw the view at this restaurant… I did not even care what the food tasted like at first. I could be eating anything and it would still taste halfway decent because I would be eating it look at that view! Then I saw the food prices, and I wanted the food to taste good. We sat outside, and even though it was hot out, there was a rood over our head, and being so close to the water made a very nice breeze. We were totally comfortable sitting out there mid day, in over 90 degree weather. Food was expensive, so we tried to not order something too crazy. Everyone at our table seemed to love the food. We started with the fried sample which was very nicely proportioned. Nothing was oily, and the fish was pretty fresh. I think the calamari was a tad tough for my taste, but as an Italian I eat a lot of calamari. I ordered this little empanadas stuffed with spicy lobster meat. The emanada shell was soooo good. However the lobster was not really spicy, which I found disappointing. This view is worth it all. Be sure to check out the surfing beaching down the road in front of the condos. It was our favorite beach we went to in PR!
