My family and I came here for some ice cream. Although they were open, we were told we couldn’t sit inside because they needed to sweep the floor. So we had to sit outside where the kids were cold. The ice cream was not very good. The staff were very rude to us and it was obvious that they did not care about their customers. Based on the rude attitude of the employees, I would not recommend anyone to go to this store for ice cream or anything else.

After spending 4 days in Poland and eating polish food I decided to go for Italian the last day and La Scala was highly recommended. The restaurant is situated in the center of Wroclaw and if you sit on the first floor you overlook the christmas market. The style reminds me of a scene from an old Italian mafia film, very old fashioned décor, very cool. The staff was friendly, passionate and professional. The food was amazing, everyone in the entourage i was enjoyed the main meal. I had the salmon tartar as started and the scampi in spicy sauce as main dish which were both delicious. The almond cake dessert was a bit too bitter for my taste. All in all a very good restaurant for a very decent price which i highly recommend!

Decided to switch from Polish to Italian for a meal in Wroclaw. Chose this restaurant because it was in a guide book and had good online reviews. Overall we enjoyed our meal here. We shared the lasagna and a pizza, both of which were delicious and very filling. Prices were a little more than we were used to in Poland — I’d even say this place is a little overpriced. Service was good, with the server even checking on us during the meal which is rare in Poland. They have good lunch specials worth checking out every day — the one that day did not appeal to us but they are more affordable. Satisfied with our Italian food for the afternoon and back to Polish food in the evening. :)

Our group of 15 business associates decided to have on dinner«on the square» in the historic center city of Wroclaw, Poland last evening. At 9:00 pm, Wroclaw’s square was hopping with pedestrians patronizing the dozens of restaurants, bars and clubs with their European-style seasonal sidewalk cafes that line the square of this attractive college town of 600,000 making it the third or fourth largest metropolitan area of Poland after Warsaw and Kraków. La Scala, a well-renowned Italian eatery with an attractive outside-awning’d café was our choice for the evening. I have dined in many of the Wroclaw’s most popular restaurants over the years having been involved in our company’s business activities in this region but last night was a first for La Scala. The baked lasagna was the talk of our end of the table and in fact became my choice after sharing a few outstanding appetizers of bruschetta and calamari. I could tell immediately by the full-bodied tomatoes and zesty-sweet sauce on the appetizers that La Scala was for real… a real Italian enclave tucked into this meat-and-potatoes corner of the world. Their signature lasagna was served piping hot in a large baked dish. It’s distinguishing feature was its surprisingly light sheets of pasta interlaced with cheese and their prize-winning tomatoey topping. La Scala got the job done in style for our large group last night. Got to throw ‘em a quattro.
