Very busy place because it’s in the CBD so attracts a lot of business folk in the mornings and lunch times. Coffee is good here and the bacon sandwiches are to die for. They are pretty simple, just a bit of olive oil, rocket sauce and this aioli but they’re amazing. Try one!

Fancy meats!!! If a cheese sandwich just won’t cut the mustard then Astoria offers a slightly more upmarket option for a mid-​Welly luncheon. Bruschetta, escalope, rigatoni, tagliatelle, and schnitzel offer a substantial mouthful in both gastronomic and linguistic respects.

In Windy Wellington Woke up and gazed, outta of a hotel window I ws in a daze. Went down to the street and whistled for acab. Stuff it.
Go to Astoria they do a deadly Scrambled eggs on toast its a portion that a man mountain can enjoy. Great value and pre colonoscopy strength coffee. Fantastic and highly recommended.

Good coffee and food selection, right in the city so good to stop at while in the midst of shopping on Lambton quay. Nice outdoor area also if it’s a stunner Wellington day.
