I had fish and chips twice here over the weekend, both times it was excellent. Friends who had the burgers enjoyed their house made coleslaw. No complaints from anyone else in my group!

Very impressed — a Kiwi Classic with a craft quality touch. The world of fish’n’chips is often taken for granted but the focus and effort we watched and then tasted makes a world of difference. Light and airy batter, with a crumbed option on offer if you prefer, coats the lovely fresh fish. The chips as crispy as could be. Also a beautify designed space where you can sit and watch your meal being prepared.

I really appreciate places that take pride in their work and Huckle & Co is one of those places. For a fish & chip shop they offer a great range of fresh salads, deserts and sodas. And most importantly, the fish is always beautifully cooked and salted. As an added treat, their pineapple fritter is given even more of a dessert twist with a dipping in cinnamon and sugar. Delicious!
