In a block of shops on Marua rd is this sushi shop. There is a large selection of ready made rolls and some Katsu bowls, I’ve tried the prawn tempura bowl several times and is always good . However today a teriyaki chicken rice paper roll caught my eye, it was delicious, so fresh and crunchy. I wanted to eat 10 more ! I would never think to put salad ingredients into a rice paper roll –taste revelation! This shop is only Monday– Friday and is always busy, they are also reasonably priced . Go now before it becomes too popular and you have to wait forever.

Usually I’m very sceptical about going to little random sushi stores, however when my mum discovered this hidden little gem in Ellerslie five years ago we both fell in love! The sushi is fantastic and so fresh! Made daily from this little store, they have an enormous selection from chicken, prawn, crab, salmon and many more. They also have hot meals to choose from too. There are only a few tables available outside of the store and a little bar along the window inside, so I would recommend taking your meal away. Every time I have been to this little store it has always been the same lovely man carefully placing my meals into a take away bag. If you’re lucky he might even chuck in a rice ball. They also do catering here. For my 18th birthday we organised a few dishes which they presented on big circular plates with soya sauce in the middle. It was fantastic and much loved by everyone!
