Hands down my favourite coffee in Auckland. I can’t even. They’ve started doing food at the one on level 3, which is a bit pricey and pre-​made but I have found a kumara and bacon salad that I really like ($ 8). The baristas are all lovely and there’s one guy that — swear to god — is actually famous throughout Auckland hospital as ‘the BEST coffee guy’. That’s a lot of people, guys. I’m not the most discerning or knowledgeable coffee drinker around but theirs is always smooth, hot, never burnt and I don’t have to add sugar like I often do at other places (which I’m told is a sign of good coffee). If you’re an inpatient or visiting check it out — it’s also on level 5 across from where Muffin Break used to be.

The quality of the coffee roast surpasses your average coffee vendor in Auckland and they’re probably the best coffee shop in the vicinity of the hospital. However, extra items are pricey, e.g. $ 1 soy-​milk surcharge. Checkout the Kapiti ice-​cream snack-​sized tubs they sell (this is premium NZ ice-​cream!).
