We used to come here everyweek but now changes to the one opposite — Handi Indian restaurant for a few reasons. 1. once when we ate there we noticed the ‘D’ rating sign the tended to hide it near the bathroom. Most of the customers wouldn’t know about it. weeks later it suddenly changed to A rating and they displayed this at the front window. But we already lose the confident of this place as there was something they tried to cover up. 2. The food is average. I think it might be pre-made food. 3. One of the staffs spoke to us and expressed very strongly about how the salary always came late for him and not being treated right at this place. He told us that this is constantly happening to a lot of the staffs and the owner don’t really care about them. We can’t verify this but we decided to believe and not supporting a local business operate this way. Never came back again.

Masala is great for takeaways with their $ 10 main meal days(mon-wed). The meals are great, standard favourites however the portion sizes are bigger when dining in compared to takeaways. The last few takeaways have lacked meat. Butter chicken is a favourite of mine. Titirangi can become busy at times but there is plenty of parking in the area within a 2 minute walking radius. The service here is standard and nothing out of the ordinary. Booking is a must on Monday to Wednesday and order your takeaways in advance as it can become a 40 minute wait. Overall a reasonable place to dine in or out if you enjoy Indian food.

Nothing beats a $ 10 curry lunch special especially when it’s at the lovely Masala Indian Restaurant in Titirangi village. They do the lunch special every day and it’s the same unbeatable $ 10 value for a curry dinner on Monday Tuesday, Friday evening. We make it a regular habit with our family because the food is delicious, the wait staff really friendly and it is so close to home. I am always quick to recommend this venue to friends whenever we get together, it is just as good for a glass of wine and dessert if you can’t fit dinner in. Takeaway is a good option for us too

Awkward moment when it went from a D rating to an A rating. Pretty intense change there. Only for the good I assume. I used to go here more often years ago when it was a differently named restaurant but it has remained under the same management and ownership and mostly kitchen staff too. It is now really a place where you can really expect too not too much and therefore not be overly disappointed. Major portions and food choices for moderate pricing. But it is nothing oh so special and really doesn’t taste all too authentic like some indian restaurants do when they get it just right. Its more salty and bland. They do Wednesday specials which brings in the youngness and the cheapies. Service isn’t that great either. The robotic not very personal type. It doesn’t really suit the Titirangi village vibe which is filled with lovely little cafes and even lovelier people.
