Nestled in semi no mans land in Epsom, this reluctant gem offers more than it’s nodescript frontage. It almost feels like it’s a one (wo)man outfit and I am almost certain the cashier took my order, made my coffee, cooked my breakfast, and served it all. If that is the case, she is a truly talented lady. Coffee is Auckland is ‘two a penny’ but this means a high quality is generally maintained, and Intrigue doesn’t let the side down. My eggs Benedict with smoked salmon were rustled up without delay and the Hollandaise was pretty darn fine. They also offer a takeout service, which appeared to be popular on this Sunday afternoon.
