At Hana Sushi, if you snooze, you lose. This isn’t like one of those sushi bars in the city that rolls and re-rolls enough pieces of California roll to service every Grey Lynner from morning until late afternoon. While Hana will top up its numbers over lunch, it appears to be one of those places that makes enough money to keep the place afloat and they’re happy with it that way. I love a good few pieces of tempura vegetable sushi at this place, and love the service that comes with it. It’s also really nice to have a sushi bar in Grey Lynn — it’s a refreshing change from the string of cafes.
