Green Bay Fruit and Veg, conveniently located on Great North Road between Western Springs Park and home on the way back from Pasifika 2013. Prices were a bit higher than I usually pay, but I was only picking up a few items and it was the convenience I was after. Would you like to know what was in my shopping basket? Your such a voyeur, ok, here is what I bought then — three nectarines for two dollars sixty six, one lonely scrumptious looking peach for one dollar and one cent,(at six dollars ninety nine per kilo), a bag of flat mushrooms, whatever their real name is, for one dollar ninety nine(at six ninety nine per kilo), and one litre of Green Valley dairy milk for two dollars fifty. Total eight dollars and sixteen cents. Nothing all that exciting, pretty standard stuff. I did eye off that they sell organic milk too, also by Green Valley, something I don’t recall seeing anywhere else, price was four dollars fifty for one litre if you are interested. The lady behind the counter was friendly and attentive. Venue was quite small. Parking available right out the front. Public transport close by too.
