Came here for dinner during a weekend, we booked a table for 8 people and when we arrive we are given 2 separate table next to each other which is not ideal esp when we see there are larger tables which can fit 8 people… anyway let’s go to the food. It’s tasty, esp the beef rib, we enjoy cooking the meat and vegetables on the stove.

Went there for lunch with a bunch of friends. I ordered the lunch set. It was a lot of food for 17.50 I think. And it even came fresh fruit as a dessert. Great place all around. Will try their BBQ set next time for dinner.:-)

By far my new favorite Korean BBQ place. The service was amazing and so was the food. Just wish they gave is more lettuces wraps but the meats were yummy. So were the side dishes. Would definitely coming back again.

This is by far my favorite korean bbq place in new zealand. Marinated beef tastes amazing! Staff is very helpful and the ambiance is quite nice. Food tastes really good here, u should give it a try!

Faro is supposedly one of Auckland’s higher end Korean restaurants.
Came as a group of 5 for lunch. They do a pretty good price range for their lunch menu. We ended up ordering a variety of meals (BBQ, Lunch boxes and grilled plates) and the table was quickly overflowing with food. Great variety of side dishes and everything was well presented.
The food itself was good, I wouldn’t say that anything surprised me or made me want to come back again. Out of the grilled plates, the sweet and spicy pork was my favourite.
I do have to give them kudos for the top notch service, with the waiter helping us to cook our food. (I presume this is only available when the restaurant isn’t too busy) and also for their décor and seating. Very authentic «in-the-ground» seating as well as semi-private booths.

This is the best place for dinner in Newmarket for a casual date or a small group. I love Korean grill and Faro nails it at their various Auckland locations.
We had the special set menu for two the first time round because I wanted to try as many things as possible. If you know your way around Korean BBQ I recommend the ox tongue and pork belly. I’m a sucker for seafood but meat dishes are magic on the BBQ set into your table.
The pickles in the table set are the most exciting part of the meal — each one as mysterious as the next. The bibimbap is full of fresh, crunchy vegetables.
The service is great. Inobtrusiveness is a plus in the setting, since you’re tucked into cosy booths. We came in late and were the last to leave, but the staff were really nice about it.
