The BEST place for a Brazilian Wax. In and out in 10 minutes and it’s virtually painless (and very affordable). I was recommended this place by a friend 2 years ago when I first moved to Auckland, and I’ll never go anywhere else. N.B. If you’re overly particular about ambience and décor, it’s probably not the place for you as it is a bit basic.

Worst place ever don’t ever come here for eyelash extensions I read the reviews and thought it would be good the therapist was rough and it really hurt afterward my eyes stung for a good 45mins the eyelashes didn’t wear well either she glued them poorly as a result ripped off most of my existing eyelashes. I was devastated. Think I will stick to my regular tried here for convenience in location never again

I have been going to this beautician for more than 10 years, believe it or not. My friends and I all began visiting Mehfuza (the owner) when we were still at school because of her fantastic prices but I have ended up staying loyal over the years as she is very professional, thorough, QUICK, and kind. She does a fantastic wax, great eyelash/​eyebrow treatments (with a face/​head massage thrown in even despite the very low price!) and can give you lots of different skincare and holistic health advice. Very flexible hours too so you can often get an appointment before or after work. It’s not the prettiest premises in the world but if you’re after a top notch job at an extremely good price you’ve found the one. I will keep going to her so long as she stays open!

I’ve been going to Elipse for years and it is by far the best place in Auckland. I’d tried many other beauticians around the city until someone recommend this place. It’s more affordable, they’re very efficient and professional.

Ellipse is a little health and beauty store located on Dominion Road. I’ve been going there on and off since I was 15, and can honestly say it’s still the best place to go for a wax or to get your eyebrows threaded.
The staff are professional and usually pretty friendly — always a bonus when you’re getting your kit off — and they’re also really good at what they do. To get your eyebrows threaded only takes minutes and they’re always done evenly — again another huge bonus! The staff at Ellipse also listen to what you ask for. They appreciate not everyone loves really thin arched eyebrows, and happily shape them how you want them.
Compared to other beauticians, Ellipse have always been very reasonably priced. While some places may charge $ 60 or more for a bikini wax, Ellipse are far more affordable and usually ask for around $ 25-​$ 30.
Having recently undergone a bit of a face lift, the Ellipse building now looks far more appealing and according to my friend who went there just last week, the service is still brilliant. I definitely recommend Ellipse to any woman in need of a bit of TLC!
Tip: Ellipse has become quite popular so ring ahead and book your appointment!
