Cheap, delicious, fairly authentic, and free delivery for orders over $ 25, what’s not to love!!! After spending 2 ½ months in India and eating Indian for brekky, lunch, and dinner the bar was set pretty high. I tried several places in Auckland, tried my hand at cooking Indian at home only to result in mediocrity. That is until Curry King became our local. It is probably some of the cheapest Indian takeaway in Auckland, but don’t let that mislead you to think that it is sub-par. In fact the reasonable prices seem to make the curry a bit more flavorful and the naan just a little bit warmer. I recommend the Madras, Vindaloo, and Keema(lamb mince) naan. If you’re really keen you can ask for ‘Indian Hot’. Plus you can order online and there’s free delivery in a generous area(I think it’s about a 5 km radius TBC).

The food at Curry King has improved since our first visit, no more super-thirsty-cravings-by-suspected-msg! The chicken tikka is my hubby’s favourite, but perhaps a bit too sweet for me; I am partial to their lamb dishes, very tender and yummy. The servings are generous and although not super cheap, good value for money. The naan breads are fresh and tasty and I recommend their mango lassi, tasty and not too sweet! Consistently friendly service too.
