excellent decaf flatwhite and decaf is hard to find. Also a nice selection of gluten free and vegan low sugar treats. Had the gluten free berry muffin and it was perfect with minimal added sugar and large chunks of almonds on top. they have a nice selection of art magazines to brouse through.

Craft was a fab find for me. I have an auto immune disease and I’m not able to eat soy, preservatives, artificial anything, dairy, gluten, vinegar etc etc. Craft is wonderfully Paleo friendly, with dairy free and gluten free options too. Loved they used to charge more for cows milk! The owners are passionate about nutrient dense food and good quality food without the additives. They make everything from scratch. Great for Paleo, crossfit peeps and those with allergies. But best thing is if you want to take your friends who are not dietary restricted they’ll find something delicious to eat too. I even took my Dad there whose very sceptical. They make their own almond milk for almond milk lattes and is superior to packet milk! Smoothies are great also! Good quality homemade nutrient dense yummy food and coffee! Owners and staff are super friendly and cater to all my extra dietary restrictions without batting an eyelid. Unlike most cafes in Auckland who refuse to cook my poached eggs without vinegar coz they’d have to throw the water out!

Happy Birthday Craft Kitchen Today is Craft Kitchens first birthday and to celebrate they are doing $ 3 coffees today. They use Millers Coffee and I ordered a piccolo latte with almond milk. This is a café is all about food that is naturally crafted and made from scratch. That’s why they choose to use Miller’s Coffee as it sustainably sourced. If you are paleo then this is a café for you from their full paleo menu to the array of paleo sweet treats like donuts in the cabinet. So if you are in the area today come down and celebrate and enjoy a coffee

Craft Kitchen is a whole food and paleo friendly café with an interesting menu and a good selection of healthy takeaway(or eat in) cabinet treats. We first came here when one of our Sunday brunch group Paul, had spotted the place as new in the hood and suggested we try it. Back then we were completely ignorant about paleo food and… well… let’s just say Kerry was VERY unimpressed. «What’s this sh*t?» I think came out of his mouth when the food arrived. He was so unhappy and grumbled through the whole brunch and Paul was subsequently banned from suggesting new places. Flash forward a few months, my partner Ryan and I decided to try the Paleo Diet. Going Paleo diet can seriously hinder your eating out choices but not at this place! We’ve been there many times since, it’s a once a week thing for us so far only for breakfast but we’re keen to try the lunch as the menu looks great. My standard breakfast is always either the Eggs Benedict or Cocoa Banana Pancakes with Pear Syrup, Whipped Coconut Cream and Berry Dust. It’s quite an intriguing start to the day. The Eggs Benedict comes with spinach leaves and a dairy free hollandaise — they use coconut oil — and the whole thing is served on almond meal bread. The other morning we were graced with the unexpected presence of Ms Pam Corkery and her Dancing with the Stars partner Matt. Both were surprisingly chipper given the fact that they’d placed bottom that week. Pam and Matt both tucked in to a salmon breakfast and were wowed by it. The owner told them that their salmon is caught, delivered and on the plate within 24 hours. I’m no salmon fan but it did look great! From the counter try the Double Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie which I’m missing as I write this and when I finish will go get one… The Paleo Fruit Muffin is also good. The staff are friendly and seem happy to be there.

Was really excited to try this place, as my partner has just gone gluten free! Lucky we are not disappointed ! We had the eggs Benedict with bacon and pancakes. Both were really good and tasty — the pancakes especially stood out. Nice hint of banana which was nice as it gave it a sweet taste without the usual overdose of sugar ! Coffee was also good and topped off with very good service ! Will be going back soon

I dig these guys philosophy — they mill their own flour, cure their salmon & bacon(sans nitrates)…they even use locally sourced organic milk! Knowing where you’re food comes from and how it’s processed I think is important and these guys do their best to make everything in house and source local top quality ingredients. Mum and I popped in for brekkie on the weekend. The menu is short and feat. all the standard offerings — bacon & eggs, pancakes, muesli, eggs benny — as well as an array of baked cabinet goodies. I settled on eggs(poached) w salmon. The eggs were cooked perfectly but the salmon was far too smokey. It almost had a chemical taste to it. I adore salmon but one mouthful was all I could manage. The bread also was a bit of a let down. It had no substance and just sort of dissolved in your mouth. I prefer a grainy, seeded bread w my eggs or sourdough but that’s just me. I would happily pop back for coffee(Millers) but I don’t think I’ll be adding it to my list of regular brunch spots just yet.
