Chicago has a chain of tea stores called ‘Argo Tea’… I wondered when something similar would appear here. We found this yesterday. According to the menu, it’s the third ‘Coffee and Tea Lovers’ store in Auckland, and was established in 2000.
The staff greeted everyone who came in, and thanked people as they left. They were also happy to accommodate our requests, and didn’t give our two and three year old the side eye.
Note to parents: Both walls of the store are lined with breakable tea and coffee related knick-​knacks for sale. This place is not for the faint-​hearted if your kids can’t resist touching stuff. That said, our kids thought the ‘aroma centre’ was great fun. There are over 150 jars of tea leaves to sniff. Fluffies are $ 3.
Anyway, all in all, an enjoyable experience. Well suited for groups of 1 – 4 people.
