This one gets my absolute 5 stars and it’s my fav coffee place I visited in Norway(Bergen and Oslo) This cute coffeplace has a lot of space that can accommodate even bigger groups, don’t imagine a huge place but unlike the usual hipster bar coffees, here you have a chance to find your own cute corner. The atmosphere created by the way every room has her special charm, by the smell of coffee, feeling the warmth inside and forgetting about the cold outside and especially the bookshelves… well they make her my absolute cute place I would like to comeback to The coffee is excellent and they also serve some desserts. Their wifi is working, people coming there seem very friendly, warm inside. You feel like in someone’s living-room. Every little detail is perfectly instagramable. The prices, as in norway, go around 4⁄5 eur per coffee

Cozy, cute and super comfortable atmosphere. Delicious homemade cakes and by far the best gluten free in town.

I rarely given 5 stars and for me, this was it. We arrived late but were allowed to ordered to go anyway. We had the traditional Norwegian nut cake and the chocolate nutella almond nut cake. They were moist, melts in your mouth and was able to taste the flavor of the nuts. Best dessert from this trip. The décor of this café was very quaint, warm and homely. No corner had the same set up. Just wish we had more time to sit, relax, enjoy our cake with a cup of coffee. There was a couple there finishing up their dessert and asked the owner if she can play one more song on the piano. The music and her voice was perfect for the ambience.

Cute and cozy place, the sofas at the back of the coffee shop are so comfortable! The coffee flavour in the single latte was not that strong, but still good. If you order tea, you can smell and choose the tea leaves yourself on a small table near the counter. My friend’s scone was very soft and yummy, but it didn’t beat my sea salt caramel brownie !!! This one was a bit more expensive, but totally worth it.

Quaint little coffee shop down an obscure alleyway. There was a small crowd gathering before opening, which told me there was something special about this place. I tried a traditional Norwegian nut cake which was delicious along with a hot chocolate for a cool brisk morning. The baristas were helpful and friendly.

Loved this little coffeeshop! Came here with a few girlfriends and each of us got one of their cakes which were all delicious! My chai was good too. Only bad thing is even though they’re technically have opening hours, sometimes they’re closed for some random reason: D

Cute little spot up the hill from the wharf. Cozy. Everything was very good and I loved the atmosphere. We had chorizo open faced sandwich that had lots of lettuce and good spices, chili beans with many vegetables and crem fresh and apple cake. And free wifi.

This café was a favorite of mine when I spent a semester in Bergen last fall. Wonderful pastry selection. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting on those notoriously rainy Bergen days!

It’s a cosy café, with a good atmosphere. The regular black coffee was average, and unfortunately not very fresh. I didn’t try the cakes, but they looked delicious. I think the espressos are good, haven’t tried it though. The books in the café are for sale, and staff is very friendly. So the atmosphere get four stars. Reasonable prices.

Beautiful neighborhood café. Excellent in house pastries. Wifey started shaking from all the cuteness.

Best coffees and baker in town! Any pastry or drink is good, but the cakes are exceptionally fantastic, despite their modest looks! A mandatory stop for anyone visiting Bergen.

Cute little café/coffee shop with homemade cakes including no sugar scones(with jam and butter of course!) and was delicious! The coffee was great and they take pride in making sure it is right. They do have a small selection of lunch dishes too but is more a coffee & cake place. It is in the basement of the building & has a cosy feel to the place. The staff are friendly and helpful. The décor is as the name suggests, a bookcafe with and eclectic mix of chairs and small tables. Almost like being in my gran’s parlour!

The atmosphere in Krok og Krinkel can be described as cozy, inviting and quaint. The shelves laden with books and the records spinning on the turntable add to the charm of this small café, an open and unimposing little shop tucked away just off Bryggen near the Bergen city center. When I visited, I had a salmon sandwich which was prepared with care and served open-face. The salmon was delicious, the potato salad offset it nicely, the lettuce was crisp and fresh. The bread it came on was sliced neatly and tasted good as well. I was happy with the food and the price(75 kroner) is quite competitive by Norwegian standards. This shop gets my highest recommendations and will meet anyone’s needs for tea, coffee and a light meal in a relaxed environment.

I want to «study here”/“relax here”/“play cards and games here”/“live here». This is the most adorable, enjoyable, cozy café here or anywhere I have ever lived. From the old time jazz and twenties/forties/sixties music, to the cozy corners, quiet back-street location, delicious baked goods, or equal number of well-lit and, yes, «candlelit» seats, they don’t miss a step. Great service too! Andrea was wonderful. Thank you. :-) Oh, and they have every game from Bergen-Monopoly to Chess and Taboo(in Norwegian!)

You might not see this little café when walking about Bergen. It’s off the beaten path but it’s oh-so-worth the tiny little detour. It’s located in a very cute neighbourhood right by the funicular, in the basement of a regular looking building. DON’T YOUDAREMISSINGIT! 1) it’s so darn cute in there: vintage furniture, comfy couches, mismatched chairs, and books — books everywhere, in norwegian as well as in English. 2) it’s DE-LI-CIOUS. We had the salmon sandwich wich was by far one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The bread was good, the salmon was good, the sauce was good — it was perfect. As for the desserts — everything looked yummie and we had the hardest time settling for the scone/carrot cake and the nutty chocolate cake. Both were absolutely delightful. 3) the service was great, despite the fact that the guy was in there all alone and he had to manage both the kitchen and the customers. 4) for Bergen, it was, all in all, quite cheap.(but hey, it’s Norway, so don’t be fooled)
