I was here earlier for a performance of Madama Butterfly. I should say I am impressed by this venue.
It is very modern, and the fixtures are just very modern, with bare concrete all throughout, and a very good acoustics. The coat rack is specific to your seat, so there is no waiting in line for the staff to hand your coat back to you. No staff. Simply find the hook that corresponds to your seat and you’re all set.
The stage is great, and the seats are comfortable. I didn’t have a seat near the stage, yet given how the auditorium is constructed, I still could see everything.
This is indeed a very stylish auditorium, and it was a very exciting event to see an opera here. I would definitely want to repeat it if I were in Bergen again.
