This was my 2nd vacay where I had a delicious breakfast and dinner for a very reasonable price! During the evenings there is tented, sidewalk dining which I recommend in good weather. They must bake their own bread. The French bread«bolillos» crackled and popped on the outside, and the inside was the softest I have had in my life. I had to have two. My coffee, Huevos Rancheros, beans, and fresh fruit tasted wonderful. If you are in the historic Downtown, this is where you want to dine. At dinner, my Milanesa breaded steak was one of the best I ever had. So tender it melted in my mouth. They had perfect Tlapeno chicken soup too. My niece had an iffy spaghetti — this is not an Italian town — but loved her Chicken Rice soup. Mom enjoyed the enchiladas Potosinas, Gorditas, and said the Guacamole was wonderful! The restaurant is located in the oldest house in SLP, that belonged to the Viceroy. At one time it was a hotel, yet it seems that only the lower level is operating now. Bathrooms are very clean. Overall, while not a fancy place, the food is delicious, authentic, and the setting is clean and Mexican traditional. Great for families or tourists. Enjoy!
