I should have written this review a long time ago. This is the ultimate««hole in the wall» mexican taca joint that nobody has ever heard of. But if you are coming down from San Diego for some surf, you have to grab lunch here. It all good but they have one item that is the bomb. That is the shrimp tacos. There is a fishing village just a mile up the road, and each morning the owner(very nice guy who speaks english) runs up and gets a small amount of fresh shrimp. I am not sure the shrimp was fished right there in town, it might have come from Ensenada about 1 hour south, but I do know fresh shrimp when I taste it. This tasted like the shrimp was fighting for its life right there on the grill. When you order a taco, they ladies(very nice but no english at all) grab a big dough ball and make the taco right there in front of you, right on the grill. A little cheese gets grilled right on the taco and then the shrimp get suateed right there. I must have eaten there 40 times and every time it was the best taco I ever ate. Highly recommend for«hole in the wall» style mexican food. And cheap too.

Literally the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. The fish tacos are out of this world. But we’ve also had the tortas, burros, etc and everything is amazing. This place is a big reason I look forward to going down to Baja!

Wow, have a new favorite place to grab street tacos. It’s just north of k38 and south of the Calafia high rise hotel. I got the Sonora on the menu, and it was fresh and filling. Would definitely recommend. Yes nice service, clean, friendly people.
